Simple suggestion for PGI. When your team identifies an enemy 'Mech, populate the chassis information in the scoreboard as shown in the picture below (red box). This puts more emphasis on scouting as they can quickly determine the enemy composition on the battlefield and teammates can have access to that information by simply hitting the tab key. I would argue the need for line of sight and be in range to transmit the information to your teammates. When the info is successfully transmitted, the scout 'Mech would receive a small cbill/xp reward. This would be an extremely neat feature and give more depth to scouting. Furthermore, the command console could also come into play by significantly increasing the radius where the gathered info is disseminated to teammates. Final thought. The scout 'Mech cannot send the info to their teammates when under enemy ECM cover. This reinforces the idea of information warfare. Thoughts/Opinions?

I would say no because it's too powerful but on the contrary, your mech's computer should at least memorize a previously scanned opponent (chassis and weapons).

Also, it needs to list the A-L target designation next to the enemy mech. Possibly give a small C-bill/XP bonus for gathering the data.

It would be helpful if also a small sound chimed letting you know the information was updated, or even better a ticker rolled across the top of your view as mechs are identified for the first time.

I like the idea of being rewarded for gathering the intel for your team.

Once someone sees mechs A-L, let's have the scoreboard populate for sure, but I wouldn't do it before then. If you've only seen 10 of the enemy, some smart guys will start making deductions on what the last 2 have to be if there is a UI provided list of the first 10 mech types, provided we are actually using weight tolerances relatively soon.

I think a small cbill/xp bonus for gathering data on the enemy would be cool!

I agree with the topic, but it would be nice to see the enemy pilot names be unknown untill scouted as well.

I can't imagine anyone disagreeing with this. It's an obvious change that should already be in the game... or do they expect every mechwarrior to have a pad and paper next to his joystick to jot down the mechs?

Thanks. This change would put more emphasis on scouting, which is needed.

Simple, sensible improvement to the game. Hope this happens, particularly with a C-Bill bonus for each scan.

Yes, on one condition: You must wait for the loadout to display before it populates mech-chassis or variant on the scoreboard.

Scenario1: I fly my Jenner over the ridge in frozen city and using extended sensor-range, fast-tap-R to ping-ping-ping where everyone is. That should NOT populate anything other than mech weight-class (assault/heavy/med/light).

Scenario2: I sneak my Jenner through the cave, and without being noticed am able to target/lock on a hand-full of enemy mechs and view loadout on each that I target. That SHOULD populate chassis and variant on the scoreboard.

Sound good?

Also affirming the motion to add a value into the results for scouts who ID an opponent mech similar to the 'spotting' reward, but not dependent on your butterfingered LRM boat pilots.
