Yes, on one condition: You must wait for the loadout to display before it populates mech-chassis or variant on the scoreboard.

Scenario1: I fly my Jenner over the ridge in frozen city and using extended sensor-range, fast-tap-R to ping-ping-ping where everyone is. That should NOT populate anything other than mech weight-class (assault/heavy/med/light).

Scenario2: I sneak my Jenner through the cave, and without being noticed am able to target/lock on a hand-full of enemy mechs and view loadout on each that I target. That SHOULD populate chassis and variant on the scoreboard.

In Addition to these Ideas. The Scout Mech can not send the Scanned Data if they are under enemy ECM Cover. Once they have scanned the Enemy Loadouts, AND moved out of Enemy ECM cover then the data is uploaded.

Also make the Scouting reward actually, worthwhile. :D

This is one of the more unanimous votes I've seen, and hopefully catches PGI's eye...

Would be an extremely neat feature and give some more depth to the scouting roles.

In a word: Excellent!

I would also argue that you need the real time data to be transmitted, and so your souct mech should have line of sight and be in range to another team mate mech (in keeping with the game's info gathering abilities).

Allow the command console (among whatever else it does) to establish a radius where gathered info is disseminated to all mechs in the bubble... and the C3 slave unit give an increased range and non-direct path to obtain information from scouts.

I like the idea of the command console helping to transmit scout information to other teammates.

So the scout mechs only get spotting Rewards for when the data is successfully transmitted?

Make the uploaded data like 3,000 C Bills +200 GKP per enemy Mech scanned info.

You might take the ideas that you like and update them into the OP.... that way folks don't need to keep trolling through the whole post to catch the best things.

Awesome.

I think altogether this is a great set of points to expand information warfare in a meaningful and straightforward manner.

It provides a more coherent role for a scout. It gives an ECM more reason to support instead of hare off into the unknown. It provides at least one facet of the Command Console/C3 Slave units.

Heard this suggestion on the NGNG Podcast. Makes great sense. We can share targets why not enemy chassis info.

I would say no because it's too powerful but on the contrary, your mech's computer should at least memorize a previously scanned opponent (chassis and weapons).

Too powerful?

I do not understand that point of view at all. My smart phone can remember info I put into it and it will display on call. Plus, I can share it with another smartphone

you can even expand it:

first 5 seconds: Weight Class (Heavy)
5-10 seconds after: Mech chassis (Cataphract)
5-10 seconds after that: Mech variant (Cataphract 3D)

This vote is pretty one-sided. Let's continue to support this thread so PGI will listen.
