Greetings FRR members. I am Kdogg788 of the 9th Sword of the Dragon, House Kurita. In preparation for CW and the war against our enemies, the FedComs, we are preparing a player event on Saturday September 21, 2013 at 10PM Eastern. Are the FRR units interested in participating in this 12 man event? Full details can be found on the House Kurita board. Other HK units may also attend. We staged the first event in April of this year and would like the second to be the biggest and best yet. If you would like to come, please let us know.

If I thought I could get stable attendance to meet the 12man requirement, I would definitely do this. However we're having attendance issues due to the wait for CW. However if another unit is doing this and needs some FRR fillers, I'll be happy to supply some people B)

Why are you inviting FRR units?

As our closest neighbor, it would be fun to fight against some FRR before CW comes out. Besides, you're the nearest thing to a cousin of the Combine, and might need some help against the Clans in the future.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

You were our OPPRESSOR for centuries. You're not our..friendly neighbor.
I think you are a little confused about our..relationship.

Said closest, not friendly. ;)

I am perfectly aware of our relationship- due to the grace of Kanrei Theodore, you continue to have your "independence" and are supplied with Combine weaponry and Mechs. Think not of oppressor, but benevolent overseer.

On a more serious note. Do you guys have weight max/min restrictions?

No weight restrictions, but we do restrict Class. 3-3-3-3 is the setup, whatever you want within that is acceptable.

On a less serious note.

We exist not at any Kurita's grace, but instead by the projected power of Terra itself. Comstar is our benevolent overseer.
It was through their political clout that we were freed and it will be through their force of arms that any small fraction of our nation survives the clan invasion.

Your claims to contrary are nothing more than when a child loses a fight and stubbornly proclaims that he did it on purpose.
Thanks Kurita, for losing on purpose. ;)

Theodore recognized that having a continual rebellious district was more of a problem than having the extra planets/factories would be worth. The fact that he was able to get Comstar to "bribe" him with more Mechs/tech was just the icing on the cake (soy sauce on the sushi?).

The Ronin Wars were a mistake in many ways- too many useful Mechs and warriors were lost due to lack of understanding/fanaticism. I do understand the desire to re-take our former district, but bow to the will and guidance of our Kanrei.

A month ago the 5th Drakøns would have jumped at the chance to dive into this. We always love stomping filthy dracs into the ground ;)

Sadly, it's difficult to even get around 10 of us these days. I myself won't even play the game unless I have other people on due to my state of disdain for PGI, but that's off-topic.

It seems we're in the same boat as the Hussars, so I wonder if both our units could work something out. I'll ask around and link this post in the Dragon's Den to see if anyone is interested.

Also: FRR is "Free" because Samurai can't beat Vikings.

Feel free to have a couple of groups join up together. The more the merrier.

Oh, according to the all-correct and not totally-fake/biased Deadliest Warrior, samurai wins-

The event is coming up soon. We look forward to you joining us for the competition. It is mainly an informal player event to get to know everyone and to run some 12 mans in a group context. If attendence is low, you can combine to form a pickup group of various FRR and Kurita elements if you would like as well.

I'll pitch the idea to the competative wing of the unit I'm in. We could use the practice, experience and healthy rivalry. I like the idea.
