Never seen anyone so shamefully spamming their website or so full of **** as you. You have nothing, your bluff is called. You are just talking {Scrap} about something you do not have to try and get hits.
anyone trying to defend a point would have no problem in posting their proof to end a debate. you are simply trolling and spamming.

Wow. you just like trolling huh? The pics & how to's are on my website, why would I bother posting them here when you are to dumb or lazy to click a few links?

Days like this I know why PGI avoids these forums.

Now storm out and never supply the screenshots that you don't have...

Neat tactic, but predictable...

Awwwww booboo all upset you didnt get another hit on your website?

Buddy I ain't going on your website if you pay me to. You have your proof that what you're stating is true? show me, I'm not going on a hunt through your website or wasting my time searching through the rest of your tripe for something you apparently know is fact and should be able to pull up in 1/4 the amount of time you've spent responding to posts trying to convince people to look at your website.

I'm a docterate in physics, Game designer and manage my own company developing several AAA titles, I know what I'm talking about... Just go onto my website and go through my forums and you'll see it's true :)

I found differently proportioned images of a Victor compared to a Spider using very different paintjobs making comparisons difficult, although it looks like you removed the fog and film-grain effects, enabled AF, and killed the bloom a bit. I can see how this would give you an advantage in combat, but where are the useful comparison shots?

I'm not sure if texture replacements are kosher, either, at this point. Especially when it comes to post effects.

Please explain how those pics show tessellation enabled, they don't...

Lt. Venison there's nothing in your annotations or config file that would do much good. You do try to make use of e_Tessellation but according to the docs:

CVar: e_Tessellation
Recommended to be placed in autoexec.cfg
Enables or disables DX11 ALL tessellation.
Default Value: Off (Low/Medium/High), On (Very High)

There is also a disabled setting for enabling shadows for tessellated geometry but it is worthless without tessellated geometry and e_Tessellation enabled.

your constant use of 'us' is nauseating, and i've got one coming for you shortly. maybe you'll get anders to help you write a reply.

Panda's been spouting unfounded nonsense for a while. I think he's a performance artist, a sort of parody of true "white knights." Asking us to visit his site, download this one magic file, discarding facts, etc.

I mean here he is, saying screenshots aren't necessary, right? When third person had its debut, he was claiming third person gave no advantage and was demanding screenshots to prove it did from anybody who complained. When they did, he insisted on video. When they did, he insisted on full-match video. When they provided it, he requested full-match video that resulted in a win.

It's got to be an act.

don't know about panda, but your shtick is getting old. much of it pointed out in a post you entirely side-stepped, though maybe anders didn't have enough time to help you write a reply. the constant references to 'us' confuse me - are you talking about your merry bury squad? i had thought that your pal 'literally' had withdrawn your claims to represent community as a whole. but hey, apparently anyone who disagrees with your vision of the game, which you've taken the liberty of subscribing the entire community to, is a 'white knight from the PGI propaganda machine" ...

because, clearly, no one in their right mind can find this game enjoyable. and this is the precise reason your entire squad spends hours trolling the place.

The only "us" in that quote is "asking us to visit his website". And I think it's clear that is what he has been doing. Anyone and everyone should visit his website for it holds the holy grail... he promises!

There are things that this game does well.

There are things that this game does badly.

However there is something I would like to say.

I play this game pretty much every day and I still really enjoy it. I still get that game that goes to the wire and makes me smile.

There are plenty of games with 9/10 reviews that I played for six hours and whose boxes now prop up my table.

MWO is not a finished game in a box on a shelf. MWO is a game that is just STARTING its journey towards greatness.

The new player experience is awful but they are aware of this and there are full plans to fix it.

One day this game will have an amazing new UI, with a full set of tutorials linked to achievements. The mech lab will be completely redesigned with much more information about weapons and systems etc.

These are not pipe dreams - the first tutorial is up and UI 2.0 is about a month out as per the last communication.

Those with the patience and faith to stay the course will be rewarded, I honestly believe it.

As for the graphics there are good and bad points about them.

If you have a look around some of the maps they look low res and bland, but once you start playing a lot you see amazing little touches.

When you are in a big firefight with tracers, lasers and rockets flying about the effects are amazing. When you are shoulder to shoulder with an Atlas and you see him take multiple volleys of incoming fire - he staggers back as his arm blows of in a fountain of sparks, flames and smoke and it looks unbelievable!

This is the first "Multiplayer FPS" that has kept my attention for more than three months. Yeah I occassionaly go back to other FPS games but this one really requires Teamwork. It's not just a statement, but a fact. The lack of respawn even requires it moreso. It is not a simple point click shoot. There is more management than how many bullets are in your magazine. The fact that I have played this game for over a year and almost every single day makes me give it a 8.5/10. It will get a full 10 from me if they update graphics with a little more color (They are really muddy so I agree with that) and if CW is even halfway decent.

Reviewer kind of gives it away when he calls gameplay "sluggish."

Western mecha games don't appeal to many people, and there aren't a lot of video game reviewers with strong objectivity to genre.

I'd be more interested in more technical or philosophical criticism from someone steeped in this type of game.

Pada it is common courtesy in public discussion that if you can validate your argument readily than you should be able to provide your proof as readily as possible, and in a manner which is made as convenient to others as you can. I assume you are capable of recording these changes yourself, a simple before and after photograph of the tessellation config mod would suffice, then if people want to find out how to do mod their config file or more examples then you can courteously redirect them to your site via a URL. Being right is good, however being polite about it is just as important.
