Guys, I need help convincing my girlfriend that a suit of knight armor, a sword, an AR-15 assault rifle, and a habit for challenging criminals to bloody duels to the death in my front yard is a valid and realistic home defense plan.

Just buy some land mines off the black market.

And be sure to post a sign that says "STAY OFF GRASS."

An XCR is good. Try to get a rifle with the form of an AR-15 and the chamber of an AK (yes, they exist for about $500).

Glocks are reliable little devils for pistols. But, (and I'm sure you know this) pistols kick a lot, so unless your girlfriend has shot a pistol I'd recommend letting her use the rifle (unless you've never shot one either, in which case you use the rifle).

Shotguns are good if you can't aim (or if you can, whatever).

An ethanol stream ignited by a little electric lighter (and the ethanol is coming down a one-way tube) make a good home-made flame thrower.

A bottle-rocket array is like a mini-LRM carrier of doom. They'd be fun, but not super effective.

About 20 Blu-Ray lasers can detonate an IDE in under 8 seconds. You need a bit of electronics skills, calibration, and cooling to make it work though.

Some Jacob's Ladders can be scary. Tesla Coils are functional and radical looking. Cathode Ray Tube-based particle guns sound like a good idea, but I haven't tried how lethal they are.

Robot sentries can use motion tracking to shoot down intruders, or the neighbor's dog that keeps crapping on your lawn.

Electrified door handles that can only be disarmed by the turning of a (plastic or rubber) key can prevent break-ins.

Roombas patrolling with Nerf guns that have needles in the tip that automatically shoot at unidentified people can be fun (just lock them up when you're having guests or when you're awake and around).

Roombas with security cameras and live streaming software are another good idea.

You can leave cookies laced with cyanide for the robber to steal.

By the way, if you try any of these things I listed above, you're screwed by your own fault.

I would suggest building that armor out of resins, carbon fiber and other hybrid materials. ARs are nice but.. they are the valley girl of firearms, they want every thing clean, tidy, their way and even after you make sure thats all covered you still have a finicky brat to deal with.

On a more serious note, I do wish I lived in a state where nearly everything wasn't illegal.

New Jersey: Where fun comes to die.

Zouch, sounds bleak.
On another note, I just got back home, still have not tried any post-it art. Nor do I have a build for Hurricane yet.

I can't stand the idea of living in a region like Europe where everything is regulations regulations regulations, and you can't do anything fun without the federal government being up your ass about it.

I don't want to start a flame war but... Perfect example of Left-wing ideology at its finest. <_<

Still working on my art of post-its
SCII (or whatever the images made out of text is) is not going well.

[ _ ] <--is about as far as I have been able to get with that, and it looks far more like the bucket Mr Game and Watch uses in SSB. <_<
