Buying some more is moving up my schedule though - if only to help finish the Elites for my Dire Wolves.

You save a LOT of cbills that way (though swapping stuff around can take forever)

Yeah, I regret the many times I sold (and still do..trying to stop) a few weapons when I needed 100-200k for another weapon or 'mech.

It's the locking mechs after exiting a match.
That is literally the most STUPID thing I have ever seen in a game.
WHY does it have to be that way? Why can't I just die and immediately rejoin the queue? There's just no excuse. I can do it in Robocraft and War Thunder and it works great! Why not here? The long wait between games where I can't use my preferred mech of the moment is just infuriating and all it does is extend the waiting time between matches with the already slow matchmaker.
I get completely screwed over if I run into bad luck or try a bold move and die at the beginning of the match.

Yes,
I made 532 points last night. Over half of that was with (the real)Johnny Z, KaffkaSyrup and ZNine and no v-com. I implore you to give it another try, you have 72 more hours(Ill see if I can help)!

I would say it has to do with repair and rearm logistics and being in more than one place at once and being an anti-farming mechanism.. But thats all been systematically removed.
So what I will say is, group play. It becomes a non issue in all but the worst case scenarios, your whole group is being wiped out early on.. otherwise the match continues to completion and your group launches again(perhaps after a retune{this being the annoying part you can not die retune and be ready for you group when they get back}).
Personally Ive left very few matches directly after death, I use that time to observe my team and learn what I can about the other team (Ive even picked up a few friends from the opposing force after being impressed with their gall or valor).
I will add in closing, sometimes I die at the beginning of the match too and everyone goes on to win, or loose and we launch again never much more than sixteen minutes later(aka I hope we still manage to play some time{and not let this silly mechanic that wont even be as much of a nuisance at that time, get in the way}).

cSand sent me an invite right before I went to bed - but that would have pushed his group up to 5 men, so I took my leave.

I googled it, but all I got was Apple's support sites

Smurfy isn't liking me now (the site, not the guy) but I ran mine with 4LRM 5 2AC5, and 2ML (don't remember the engine)
Fire support role, obviously.
