Not quite infinite, actually, nowhere NEAR infinite.

If you want I can share builds for them as well - though I prefer to do that privately, as several of mine tend to be rather controversial (Kinda like Tesunie's Locust)

I have the ON1-VA, M and P models, and they are all 4/4 Elite except the M  (which is so far the mostly Atlasy of the ones I have)

I had fun in my Orions.

Come CW time I'll probably be clocking even more hours in them but for now I've been mastering my clan mechs.I still need to revisit SRM brawling misile fists since the buckton fix but haven't gotten around to it

Hopefully I shouldn't need any builds, (I don't mean it in a rude way) I tend to look for builds when I struggle with a 'mech or have no clue where to start *cough* dire wolf *cough*.

I'm thinking this build, the flamer is to blind anyone that comes close so I can narc him, also the 2 narcs are in case I miss the first one. For long range I got a gauss, LRM 20, and a lpl. Finally, to save room I put a xl 200 engine, but to compensate for the speed I made sure to be armored evenly on rear and front armor, also sacrificing leg armor since there's no ammo in there anyway.

just kidding I'm not quite that bad...

Edit: forgot about the most important part, the LRMs!

1st battle with a different build for the dire wolf and I got almost 930 dmg, breaking my previous record of 730 I made in a trial orion a long time ago.

I'm starting to feel a bit more optimistic of using assaults, but I still have a long way to go.

I generally use my Assaults as assault-support hybrids (PPC/LL + LRMs) or straight-up close/med range brawlers (ACs, PPCs, Lasers + SRMS). I've found that more balanced builds generally work well with assaults, since you're too slow to easily dictate when and at what range to engage the enemy and you have the tonnage to carry a wide array of weapons and still be effective.

Just my two C-Bills.

The profile of the dragon is too weird for me. I prefer to use the Orion.

Granted, I don't own one at the time, but I did before I sold it to get a different Orion (which I have procrastinated beyond belief).

I've never really understood the attraction to Assault 'Mechs (even some Heavies.) Yeah, all of that firepower and armor is nice, but I've never found it fun to be a battleship with legs. Too big, too slow, a massive profile, and too reliant on your team.

Never understood it in MW3 or PPCWarrior4, same applies here.

My current suicide build

Well when I first joined MWO I almost swore to myself that I would never touch a light and I would almost exclusively be heavy/assault.

Obviously I greatly under estimated how complex being a mechwarrior actually is, but I was still determined to be a heavy pilot.

It was basically by chance that I bought a light (thought gift centurion was coming sept. 21st while I was grinding for cbills so I decided to spend a "bit" on a light for fun) and found what I really like to pilot.

As much fun as it is to pilot a light, I still wish I could mount a few more lasers or even some ACs, so for some reason I jumped to an assault. If it weren't for the CN9-AH I would go for a medium but for now I'm thinking of getting a heavy.

The Victor is a beautiful chassis for a Mech that leads attacks. It has a wonderful balance of armor and speed (even w/ out an XL) and a nice hardpoint configuration. The Orion comes next to the Victor, the Dragon following closely behind.

Other slow assault Mechs (such as the Atlas) are beasts, so long as you play them not stupidly (not even necessarily smartly, just not stupidly).

Anyone who's seen my in my Jager knows that all I need to be happy is decent armor, good firepower, and at least 64.8 KpH (unless it's a really armored Mech, in which case 48.6 is ok).

I've considered getting a Victor, simply because I loved being a poptart in MW4. (thats the entire point of having JJs.) But I just have too much fun with my Hunchbacks. When you get an AC/20 running around at 91kph or 107 for my Yen-Lo-Wang scouts start to soil themselves.

I have found that playing in such a limited chassis can be hilariously fun.

I kind of wish we could try out any 'mech with the penalty of no cbill or xp gains. Looking at a few hunchbacks makes me miss piloting one, yet I want an orion. Also I always wanted to pilot a stalker...

Then I want to elite one of them.

This would be much easier if I had the centurion with 30% cbill bonus.

Go to this post and look at the fourth Mech, "Punch SHD-2D2." I sold mine because I lost my skills with it, but it worked well when I still had my Medium-brawler skills.

Interestingly enough I had one of these, right after the Phoenix 'Mechs were available. I called the "DerpHawk" or "ShadowDerp," Had fun with it, but sold it after maybe three weeks. Still not sure why I did. I may end up buying Hawks again. But I'm still waiting (Most likely in vein) for some more mid weight brawler 'Mechs.

Stormcrow is OP. It single handedly (also with 1 arm) killed a direwolf, atlas, and a jagermech. (all 3 ran out of ammo/lost their weapons) One of the strangest/most disappointing defeats.

I'm thinking about becoming a full blow masochistic and get some Trebuchet into my hangar.

Eventually I plan to have at least one of every chassis in my hanger
(Part of why I scrounged the money for the clan packs)

I can tell you this - that 30% bonus is not worth it if you do not like piloting the chassis to begin with.
And just because you like the other variants does not mean you would like the Hero
(I love my Flame - the "weak" Dragon, dislike my Fang - the "strong" variant)

I thought about getting the Flame, simply because it can be turned into a better brawler.

But then again, every 'Mech I have ever touched gets turned into a brawler.
