Resistance is quite a very useful function of nature. Perhaps you are doing it wrong?

You always need more dakka. The only acceptable time to stop increasing your dakka is when you have so much of it that the universe physically cannot contain any more. And even then that's still not enough dakka, because while the universe has a limited amount of mass, the need for more dakka infinitely increases. So you'd have to open a portal to another universe and start putting dakka there.

(Which reminds me, does anybody else miss the blue spinning contrails of Gauss Rifle shots?)

I would like to see more of a lingering Gauss effect, instead of the little blue streak we get now.
