Same thing I said in closed beta. All the top games, offline and online are making their way through releasing new content and updates these days. Wasnt so long ago online games made it through monthly subscriptions, but there isnt even one online game relying on that any more that i know of. Although some offer a premium game experience through subs still.

Anyway maybe thats for the best since it up's the level of quality and pricing of games that wish to make it in the saturated market.

A really good expansion pack would be what interests me. The Phoenix Project is a good start.

Other expansion packs that might be worth looking at as viable might be:

Aerotech- nough said, would be very cool.
Character- items and customisation and quarters and much more.
Clans- unique character items custom etc along with aerotech assets maybe.
Bases- a comprehensive faction base expansion involving garages and interiors maybe. Although guild bases are a mistake as seen how star trek online did theirs fracturing their player base into 1000 pieces. Faction bases would add to faction defininition are team work maybe. Would take alot of thought to do right or maybe at all.
Solaris- new maps/arena's, interiors, game modes, etc.

When I don't get blanket, top down control on how I play the game from PGI.

I have already given them $100.
But it's not because of the quality of this game.
They are local for me (Vancouver) and it's BattleTech brought back to life.

If they want my money, they need to fix their pricing model.
- Free players should have MC earning too, but very slowly.
- Trial mechs should ALWAYS be good, maybe custom dev loadouts. Kind of a "this is how you do it".
- MC consumables should not be better than the free version. It's not OP right now, but it's a slippery slope I would rather *** in the bud right now.
- Mechs in general are WAY too expensive. If Modelling/Dev costs are too expensive, I would even community-crowd source it. The more variety of mechs in the field, the more fun this game will be, the more newbs we will be able to get.

After that, I'm willing to spend money as long as it can be in small chunks.

If they also offer a subscriber-type account, I would be willing to look into it.

They need to take a note from Onyx Path Publishing's book (see http://theonyxpath.com/schedule/) and give us development progress bars and estimated ETAs for the different things they are working on.

They also need to stop working on "balancing" combat and instead work on delivering expanded content

I want maps, game modes, U.I. 2.0, lobbies, the ability to form groups from sizes 5-11, CW, fix the c-bill nerf, etc.

I do not want a charge up time on the gauss rifle and ghost heat. Their tinkering with weapon behavior has left some customer's cautious that they will buy a (drasticly over priced) hero mech, only to find out that their intended payload has been nerfed the next day.

For me Ui2/CW fully implemented would be the only way I would spend another dime on this game.

Eliminating 3PV will get me playing again.

Rolling back the bad balancing mechanics (ghost heat, GR charge) will get me paying again.

Fixing balance via damage/heat/recycle tweaks (it can be done without new mechanics) and CW will keep me playing and paying.

A complete AAA title as an sp campaign with a fleshed out story line. Multiplayer, for me is an add on feature not the core game. Seeing as I already dropped what I consider the price for an AAA title in the hope for a good multiplayer BT title,I would consider another 60.00 for an sp component, well done of course.

Further more, I would pay for this complete game one time, I will not spend another nickel on the f2p model.

Peace

That might be in normal games but is that what you'd honestly expect from a game titled: MULTIPLAYER Mechwarrior ONLINE......? C'mon maaaaan

With that said, I won't drop another dime until I see CW implemented. There's no way this game is worth a $40+ investment at this point. There's no argument here on pricing, "you got what you paid for", etc. This is a simple statement that as of now, I see no reason to spend more money on a game I've already spent money on that doesn't offer me more than deathmatch/capture point. You want my money, give me something to spend it on beside mechs, give me something worth investing my time in to advance as opposed to spending money just to buy another mech

What would get me to spend money? Off the top of my head...

1.) A fix to the C-Bill economy. The current model is strangling the new player, post-Cadet Bonus game. It's also punitive to those who don't have the ability to spend money each month on supplementing an unfinished game experience.

2.) Lower the MC price for in-game content. I don't actually expect this one to ever happen, but the current prices are just not feasible for me financially, despite how much I might want to try out certain Hero 'Mechs or camo patterns.

3.) This goes without saying, but Community Warfare and UI2.0 fully implemented, after extensive bug testing. If I'm going to put money that I don't really have into the game, I'd like it to be more polished and finished before doing so.

Don't get me wrong, this game has fun moments, but there are a few fundamental issues I have with it that, until they're addressed (or dealt with through other means), I just can't bring myself to commit to it monetarily.

I bet a 20% extra MC sale for the holidays again will get a lot of people to buy MC.

Exactly.

I have been waiting since early Beta for a new Hero Light and what do we get a Champion Spider.

I already have maxed out most lights that I will ever touch (spider being one of them), so will never buy the champion, but I do love to play my SDR-5D, and if I ever want to play a 5K again I already have one.

But would love to Hero my 5D because I play it so much.

I already have a 6 month chunk of premium time running (Completely solves the "but what if I don`t get a chance to play because [reason x] " issue by being significantly cheaper per day than teh 1 day, 3 day and 1 week options), my Misery, and a Phoenix Overlord pack due for arrival in 2 weeks, so I don`t expect to be spending all too much this year.. considering picking up the Boar`s Head or a Death`s Knell eventually, but the next thing I "plan" to purchase or that would make me start throwing money around randomly would be an "Operation Revival" /Clan Invasion package with a Timber Wolf, Dire Wolf, Adder, and maybe a Stormcrow or Nova for a Medium.

Phoenix Package overlord, will spend $100 right away if we get a double XP to GXP weekend at phoenix start.

I have been waiting for months for this and have over a million XP.
I could partly use that to master/elite the 12 variants i am getting in two weeks.

This year, there is absolutely no reason for me to spend any real money on MC without that.

Sell the game and rights to another company that would move things along. And not keep getting money for updates that only nerf weapons.

Solid community warfare; well-implemented new match modes (i played WoT back in the day when the "assault-mode" - disaster struck. Yes, the human mind can be far inferior to the most laughable AI :(.

Apart from that - a Marauder. The original design, or one by flyingdebris; both will be grand.
