As a last "thank you" to the Founders who seem to have been kind of forgotten about by PGI it would be a really nice gesture to give all Founders the 3 Founders colors to use on all our non Founders mechs (like they have done with the Phoenix Package). I think it would go a long way to show us that they still appreciate us helping get MWO off the ground running and would kind of make amends for the whole 3rd person view thing. Do you agree or disagree?

Edit: I keep Goluboy, Tumeric, and Titanium White on hand (yes I purchased them with MC) for some of my mechs as these are pretty close to the Founders colors and look good on most mechs. Just an FYI in case anyone was interested.

I can't see any reason why they shouldn't and it's just 3 colors. In the grand scheme of things, they don't lose much at all for doing so and would gain (back?) some goodwill.

I'd be down with being able to use a "Founders Pattern" and Colors for all my Mechs as a Founder. We get the Phoenix colors unlocked for all, yes?

I realize adding a Founders pattern would be a lot of work, so yeah, the colors would be a good start.

I voted yes, despite the fact that I don't like it when Founders start acting like they are more important than the rest of us and deserve special treatment. I mean, it's just 3 colors, what do I give a {Scrap}? Pretty much costs nothing, takes no dev time, and adds nothing to the gameplay experience.

Voted yes, since it really should be a pretty trivial thing to add, and could be a nice gesture. Even though (like Escef?), completely agree that the Founders are probably fooled by the word to think they're something more than people who pre-ordered various degrees of special editions and aren't really entitled to any special treatment beyond that.

Absolute no to founders patterns on other mechs, that would mean adding a cumulative workload of one extra pattern for every mech coming out ever that only a fraction of people (many of which claim not to play at all) could enjoy. Major stupid waste of resources.

It would be nice, but no money in it for them. I know I have been more cynical lately, but I just can't see them doing any free favors right now.

Just a feeling I have.

Although having those Founder's colors for use would ne nice, and I would like to see it; if they think people will buy those colors at all, they will keep them for sale for MC.

The Founder program is over. All benefits have been paid to Founders. PGI owes nothing more to this group of players on account of funds paid to enroll in the Founders program.

I hate to break it to people, but being a "Founder" means nothing. You are not a stockholder. You are not a special community. You're simply a part of a larger player base.

Giving free things to founders makes incredible strategic sense. They may be the vocal minority, but if you saw the way people responded to Brain in the Merc Corp CW thread, you'd understand how powerful little gestures like this could be.

I can't believe they didn't do something for launch, like maybe a week of free premium time. You convinced those (this) suckers to shell out a bunch of money, and if you look through the likes of old dev posts, most of those people are no longer around. Giving them a reason to at least take a peek is never a bad idea.

Actual go look at likes for old dev posts. It is actually very saddening.

Edit :: Keep in mind that no where do I claim that founders have a right to anything other than what they were already given. It just makes marketing sense (IMHO).

Maybe it makes sense. Maybe it's good marketing. But PGI is under no obligation to do so, and Founders expecting preferential treatment because of their status is just silly. I'm not pointing fingers at you, per se. But there have been a lot of threads lately composed of Founders insisting PGI owes them something for whatever reason.

I am not one to ask for gimme's, but I would not be opposed to this. It's not owed to us, but as a small thank you it would be nice.
