Can someone please tell me how i can change what weapons fire and when. At the moment I can only get all of my weapons to fire at once causing me to overheat after one shot.

On the trial mechs, the weapons are grouped. How do i do this??

Thanks in advance.

Backspace will turn chainfire on or off for the selected group.Chainfire on will cycle the guns in the group 1 at a time..Chainfire off will fire the full group of them at one time.

Use the arrow keys to select a weapon and group, and then right ctrl to select or deselect a weapon group.

To add to what they are saying, if the number (1-6) is lit up, then that weapon will fire when you press that number or the associated mouse button.

If you arrow up or down, than will cycle thru the weapons, arrow right./left will cycle thru the numbers. Pressing right Control (possibly left as well) will toggle that number on or off.

So you could scroll thru and put all your Medium Lasers on 1, your Large Laser on 2, and your LRMs on 3. Then you could click the left mouse button to fire your MLs, right mouse to fire the LL, and (if you have it) 3rd mouse button or 3 on your kb to fire the LRMs.

I use the above as a standard so I can transition between mechs more easily. IE close range weapons on 1, longer range on 2, and LRMs on 3. It's something to start with, and then you can develop your own style down the road. :D

don't forget to select the first column when you're finished, because left mouse button fires the selected group and NOT weapon group 1

Options:
"Mouse 1" from "Fire selected Weapon Group" to "Fire Weapon group 1" will solve the issue Wickwire mentioned.
