People even saying: "Why would you give money to PGI?"
I would've liked to have replied something like: "I'm not giving them money. I'm paying so you can play this game for free"
Unfortunately, I'm not that clever.
Where do you people come up with the line that your the reason for this game being f2p lol self delusion at its finest
If every player in this game who hasnt paid a cent left how long do you think this game would last? There is alot more then micro T that keep a game a float

Well it's logic that's pretty easy to grasp. If nobody paid for anything then this game wouldn't exist.
It's more the logic of, "I hate that PGI isn't doing what I want them to so I'm going to take it out on the players that still enjoy this game. Because if I can't enjoy it, nobody can." that I don't understand. It's childish behavior at best.

If not wanting to listen to someone else complaining and/or griefing me in-game because of what I decided to do with my own money makes a person self-righteous.
You want to be upset with PGI? There's nothing wrong with that, it's your right as a potential customer and player to be upset with them in fact.
But why is there the need to bring that down on the other players who don't feel the same way as you do?

Locust will be unkillable because its smaller then a spider, faster then a spider and will most likely have completly screwed up hitboxes.... you know.. like every new mech that comes out!
Only in case of light mechs it works in their favour.
Shadowhawk. Not sure... could range in usefullness between centurion and trebutchet... not to say we wont see them in large quantities.
Thunderbolt? Solid heavy mech with alot of alpha strike potential, broad front might make it go the way of the awesome. All depends on how big the CT is.
Battlemaster. Does everything the atlas does... only better. Better hardpoint layout makes it harder to cripple the mech by only destroying one side torso. Heavy energy focus but also two ballistics in one arm... could make for another PPC + gauss build. But again the CT has to be the right size or the atlas wins over it. And ofcourse no ECM if i remember correctly. But still a very solid block of armor and firepower. Only weapons downisde is that it only has one missle hardpoint.
Wolverine.
Yeah... what the hell would you do with that? Ballistics in the arm, one energy hardpoint an one missle launcher. Not an alpha strike built and thus overshadowed by other medium mechs.
Griffon? Dead on arrival
It can be made completly useless by destroying its right side torso, and it has to expose said torso to shoot its enemies. With pinpoin accuracy in the game as it is you would either be a hardcore fan of this unseen variant or braindead. Ontop of that it has such a low amount of hardpoints i wonder what the heck you are suposed to do with it. There are light mechs that have more choice when it comes to weapons layout.
So yeah.. overall predictions:
Everything but the heavy and assault are bad to kinda meh... with the locust possibly breaking the game because no one will be able to hit the little ******...
Also i bet someone will try to fit a gauss on it XD

PGI is not entitled to my money thought. Remember that they are giving me the option to play the game completly free.
Also you didnt adressed his argument that if the free players would all just quit like many many people on this forum seem to want the game would also die.
The truth is that a f2p game needs both sides of the medal to run, you can not have one without the other.
This is also exactly the problem whith most "f2p" titles (looking at you EA) that the publishers just dont get that free players are just as important for the health of their game then those that actually spend money on it.

This topic is not attempting to make phoenix buyers look better than the rest nor is it a attempt for trolling. this is simply just for fun and for the point of guessing beforehand what the inevitable pointless complaints of people will be after the phoenix packs arrive whether they be from those who never bought phoenix or those who did (complaining about something like a hit-box issue). i did not mean to offend anyone and is only just for fun. when i say i am not trolling don't think i'm dead serious about this topic because this topic was just meant for people to openly bring up hypothesis on whats going to happen, also this isn't meant as a "LOL Phoenix Buyers lets point fun at those who didn't LOLOL" but is meant as a "hey community, what do you think a bunch of people from the annoying part of the community are going to do because of the phoenix packs?"
keep in mind if the packs do arrive and people are saying that these mechs are OP when they are not then the prediction is correct. however if they say that the mechs are OP and they ARE correct (broken hit-boxes that pick up hits 15% of the time) then the hypothesis is incorrect because their reason of complaints is justified because its a real issue. this topic is about predicting what people will do just to try and bash on the phoenix mechs even if what they are talking about is incorrect.
P.S. i might add this to the main message because this is my most well worded "no i'm not doing that" message.

*Except the Death Knell.
I have had the poor TDK called OP when I won a game capping in conquest - ran around the very outer edge of Terra Therma so they couldn't find me.
They may have been being stupid, but they still called it OP

The people that hate it will complain.
The people that love 'em will defend.
The sale will extend past oct 15 so the wafflers have a chance to buy them.
P2W crowd. Blatantly obvious trolls angry they couldn't get it for free.
People targeting Phoenix mechs? Sounds like a lot of effort to be angry at something anyone can buy in a few months. It's like being angry at Founder mechs.
Give it a week or two and no one will care; unless its a technical issue like hit boxes.
So in short I'm not buying into the hype or hysteria the people want to drum up. You guys (trolls) can have an aneurism about it but I'm not. I'm gonna have fun and not look back.

After that people will realize the Locust, Shadowhawk, and the heavy mech are oversized.
Thus only Battlemasters remain and anyone who bought a smaller Phoenix pack will feel ashamed at wasting money.

doubt it... maybe the thunderbolt due to its FAT torso, but since concept art != final mech, that might change... the locust seems to be of equal heights as the spider or commando, just a bit wider - judging from the screenshot. shadowhawk i can´t say
