Making Uac-5S Truely Different From Other Acs

I'm sitting here thinking about the auto cannons. I love the sound of an AC-2 firing and the feel of the AC-20. Something about the UAC-5 just doesn't seem right to me. The AC-5, I understand. It reminds me of a 120mm shell from a Abrams tank. The graphic of the UAC-5 shows something that looks more like a chain gun on the Apache helicopter or a mini-gun. Because of this, I've been thinking about the application of it. So here it goes....

How about the UAC-5 having a completely different firing mechanic. Think of a cannon with a much higher fire rate than an normal AC-5. And an even higher fire rate when you increase the rate of fire. now the UAC-5 fires 2 shots in the amount of time an AC-5 fires 1 shot... how about this...

What if the UAC's fired 4 shots in 1.5 seconds under normal fire and 8 shots in 1.5 seconds using double fire... PGI would need to decrease the damage of each shot... but overall the weapon would have a higher fire rate and spread it's damage a little more.... I think something like 1.25 damage per shot under normal fire - that way dps wise it equals the AC5 without using double fire...

Personally, I'd love to hear something firing faster than an AC-2 normally and even faster when double firing...

Just wait for the UAC2, or the RAC2 for a faster firing weapon. Although I have no idea how they are going to do the RAC2 and the RAC5 considering it fires up to 6 times as fast as the standard version of the AC.

Why not just 4 shots that add up to a little more damage than an AC5 for the same cool down?

Example: Each UAC/5 shell 1.8 Damage. All shells land in the same location = 7.2 Damage (instead of the insanity of how UAC's are currently)

Also, here is how they work in MW:LL



UAC/10 (2 shells at a time) but equals only a little more damage than a regular AC/10
UAC/20 (2 shells at a time)
UAC/5 (3 shells at a time)
UAC/2 (5 shells at a time)


Then we can get rid of the rolling dice jams while we're at it.

I like the idea of 4 shells in the same time... anything to give it a different feel would be something I'd like...
