Well none are "Official" but Puce, Zi, and another or two are very popular. Depends just how BRIGHT you want to be...

Just a heads up, our long term goal is to make house and faction specific colours available.
I won't promise when that will be though, so if you want to purple up your Mech in the name of Marik, rock on soldier!

I've spent my weekends over the past year getting ready for the moment when Dennis tells me "Hey Mark! You can start working on community warfare now."

Faction colors unlocked via loyalty points would be awesome!

True, though with the amount of Red, Black, and White that we've got from PC gamer and Project Phoenix, us Kuritans are good to go.

No. But one day, he will. And when that day comes... I'll be ready.

While I liked the comment, I need a way to like the poster :-)

um... sir, may I ask you? which of the colors is closest to the banner/logo color in the forums?

The reason I ask a dev is because they can just pick the RGB value and let me know. I can't do that because the color in the mechlab doesn't look the same as the color in game :)

Well focuspark, the colors look different on all the maps as well. Most purples look pink on Tourmaline, for example, due to the shade of light the sun uses.

Good point - maybe I should just screen grab the mechlab swatch and use Photoshop to get the "best" RGB match.

Part of what I'm worried about is that not all of the colors are flat.

For example, gun metal gray takes on a lot of color from the environment where as camo gray does not.

I'd like to avoid getting a purple that doesn't "survive".

While I am not a big lore guy, this much effort sussing out the correct purple for a mech is certainly enough to let me know I am not cut out to be Marik...

I use the Edo purple when running with FWLM at large, but Camo Brow, Camo Tan, Maroon when running with the 4th Regulans. Edo's pretty dang bright and purple-y, if that's what you like.

I use Pleione or Edo.

And for the record, it's nowhere near $10 for 1,000 MC.

1,000 MC is $4 when you purchase the $100 25,000 MC package. If you purchase the $6.95 1,250 MC package, 1,000 MC is about $5.60.

Edo is bright without being some of the fluorescent that the other purples can be. I am colorblind and it is one of the purples that I can actually see without it looking too blue or red.

Might make me stick out like a sore thumb on some maps, but I think it looks rather unique.

House paint is a great, great option though. Throw in some house decals and I will be sporting it hardcore.

Edo is what I rock on all my cannon marik mechs. :)

Also, be sure to check out the house marik site, we would love to see you there and I can tell you (as someone who spent all of closed beta soloing) that dropping with a group totally changes this game for the better.

edit**

Holy {Scrap}, people know the stupidly high amount of money I have spent on this game........
My forum name section is HUGE

Oh Mr. Wiggen, or should I say Andrew, unless it's not an Ender reference....
Many of us in Marik don't put any effort into coloring our mechs, you're MORE than cut out for Marik if you like piloting a mech and having fun! Drinking is optional.
