Imagine that it is the middle of 2012. You know for a fact that your company is no way ganna produce clan warfare and all the features necessary for it until at least summer of 2014. 24 months.

Are you ganna tell your playerbase that?

What's the easier hit to take? Tell the community some completely unrealistic and unhittable target date and suffer only a missed deadline or turn off half of your playerbase until 2014 and go bankrupt?

I bet they aren't missing any of their own deadlines internally and that they just have decent PR skills.

I don't see what is fun, or a project, about turning the clock back two years.

The reality though, is that we do not need the clans introduced to this game any time soon. They are just going to screw up what little balance we have.

Having community warfare clearly needs to take precedence over introduction of clans.

No - Clans mean a big injectuion of cash with several mech bundles - much more important and not reliant on trying to get a game engine to do things it was never designed for.
Memo - order sheet metal instead of foil.

You mean "fallin back two light years". Otherwise you're too far away to get any daylight.

Boy, sure would be nice for the twitter folks (are they called Twits?) to instead of posting a link to a page with hundreds or maybe thousands of tweets, to maybe assist those of us who wish to view their "HE SAID X-Y-Z HERE!: Tittier Link", to maybe at the least give us a date and time to find it.

Here's a thought... those mechs are in "beta" as far as this timeline and game is concerned... except we're not in a beta.
