Do not even bother. The Locust is the cheapest and lightest mech. They do not care.

They will keep the TT's damages so the Locust remains the Magic Mech.

There's a Locust in one hand.

No more Locust. See? Magic!

Yeah if this were TT you'd have half the armor and AC/20 means bye-bye.

If this was TT we wouldn't be able to aim. We'd point our mechs at each other and squeeze the trigger. Where you hit is anyone's guess.

Locust is a toilet paper roll on legs in terms of weakness in offense and defense. It is the weakest and the lightest mech we got and with only 138 max armor your just not going to do much. Sorry to tell you if you bought it I feel bad for you cause your 1.3m C-bill poorer you coulda gotten a Jenner or a Raven if you like lights.

The leg armor calculation is based off of the original TT internal structure, so multiplied (x2) for TT value, then doubled again gives us the value of 16 we have in MWO. Not much can be done if we stick to that.

What about adjusting the height we receive fall damage in lights?

Locust may have a use when tonnage limits are in as a barebones scout, but I doubt it. While some people can do well in a Locust, I am certain they could do much better in a mech that has more than 4 tons to play with for builds.

Technically, all parts of the Locust are fragile. I've been trolling with the Commando since its debut and they still die despite Lolcust double teams.

Tonnage limits will not magically make Locusts better.

All most ever time I see them die is from the legs.I bought 3 and I started mastering them but got so sick of getting legged I sold them.I am at the point I feel bad when I kill them now.

Why are you asking to change Locust? Because you've used to openly fight against 10 assaults on bugged Spider and Locust is working as light mechs are intended to work: when it takes direct fire - it dies? Hmm. I don't want to upset you, but Spider will be fixed and will work that way too very soon. So you'll better start getting used to the fact, that lights are not invulnerable cheaters and they're not intended to survive under fire of whole enemies' team, kill half of that team and do 700+ dmg per match. They're intended to be scouts and tipper-ofs, Killing other mechs - is the business for bigger guys.

Light mechs are not scouts. There is very little scouting done in this game even with a ecm you can see a light mech from across the map. When youre willing to take 30-50% of the armor from the center to put n the legs something is wrong.

Not from full armor. 1 AC/20 hit leaves you with 4 internal at most if fired from within optimal range.
Protip: don't get hit with AC/20s.

Hey, I do that with my Raven quite often! But even though I don't appreciate the general tone your post had in it, I must agree that spiders are too bugged to be considered balanced in any way.
