Have Stick, Need Dead Horse

So, after the BJ kicks it, they turn on me. Having already landing several solid hits on my targeted spider with four mlas alphas and multiple glancing blows, I knew he was getting close to dead. THen he overheated within 100 meters of me, facing me. I put the crosshairs on his damaged CT and hit a non-moving full-duration blast from all four mlas. Nothing. He powered back up and continued to fight. I got him with two more solid blasts, as well as several point blank and glancing blows from the 12 shot of srms. He still killed me.
Given that, even if he had put all of his armor in the front, the CT only has 40 points of armor. Four mlas is 20. There's no way to survive that many shots. But survive he did.
blah, rant complete.

I almost went to splash cold water on myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
But my above anecdote is not representative of my general experience when fighting Spiders.
Good gaming!

Ok so 5 of us (not at full health mind you) took over 3 mins to kill 1 spider.
Sorry but no matter how good the pilot is 3-4 of good concentrated fire from 5 mechs to kill it and there is nothing wrong?
They just went in a circle and we all trained on it and kept at it and it wouldnt die.
any other light you can take down. but not these.
But then again these are the forums and PGI can do no wrong.
They never make mistakes and everything is working as intended. Bonus points for the match maker!

If anyone remembers the old days with knockdowns that is a perfect example, 1. Mech falls over, 2. Enemy's shoot at Mech laying on ground, 3. When Mech quickly goods into stand up animation it jumps on the enemy's screen into a different location. It is clearly a similar problem with the spider skeleton, just because you shoot it on you screen didn't mean that is exactly where it is on the server.
Well that's my understanding unless the spider goes into godmode when overheated but I think the server location is a better reason.
Sad to say it but just don't even bother shooting at spiders right now unless its with lrms preferably with tag/narc/arti or unless you have multiple streaks, sure they may splat everywhere now days but they will still kill a spider.

It's obvious that there are some serious issues with the detection and the Spiders definitely have a broken hitbox, like the video some guy posted a while back of the spider having a magic "hole" in his CT where the lasers went straight through the spider and didn't damage it.
I imagine this is being looked into, at least I hope it is after all the proof has been posted on here, it isn't just "qq mad u bad" posting, it's a fact now that Spiders need fixing, I pilot them myself and some matches I feel borderline untouchable.

Its my opinion that the issues with the spider are a combination of a couple of things and not something so simple as just their hit-boxes. Go to the training grounds and fire at some and you'll see.

Example here, server is clearly having similar jumping around issues with the "real" location of the spider.

The spider really needs a fix sooner rather than later.
