Weren't we supposed to see this on the test server in November?

I know how it is with software projects. I lead a software team. Sometimes things slip, and sometimes they slip again.

UI 2.0 has been slipping for a while.

It seems to me that the engine upgrade was probably a big thing to tackle. Anytime you upgrade a major library like that there will be extra work generated getting everything just working again. Not to mention you had to do custom work to the library to get it to function properly on top of the custom work you already did in the last port that you had to get working in this version.

My suggestion going forward would be to hold off doing anymore engine upgrades until UI 2.0 and CW are out the door. Those are huge pieces, but they are visible pieces. The angry mob doesn't care how much better the new engine will make things, they just see glacial pace for the sake of something that is invisible to them and therefor doesn't really register on their work-o-meter.

That's just my 2.0 cents.

Next public test for UI 2.0 will be this week; Most likely tomorrow or thursday.

I have stated it in many other threads but I don't trust PGI anymore when it comes to them saying they are doing something and actually finishing it. UI 2.0 has been a myth since I started playing MWO last March ... yet it took till Sept before you seen screen shots. It took till Oct. till you seen a video of someone suing it, and now it has gone in and out of test server since then ... . Something to me just says it wont be coming this year. (One month left, and yet no CW, no UI 2.0, Hit Detection still messed up, and the only thing finished sort of is Phoenix Project.)

When I went back to patch the separate test patcher for the test server, when entering to play (just cause), the interface for logging in was in UI 2.0... so yeah.

It will patch after every patch cycle. If it hits test, yay? Time has come for it to be released.

No longer able to believe in PGIs ability to deliver these given all the expectations that have been set and consistently missed

they only seem to be good for a monthly mech, the odd map, minor tweaks and the occasional implementation of something idiotic(ghost heat)
