So you basically want a list showing which Mechs have more favorable hit boxes protecting the side torsos...
When you are finished, please submit that list to the developers asking for more balance between Mechs chassis.

The Quickdraw is absolutely XL-safe. If you look at the QKD model and see the size of the shoulder weapon mounts? The side torsos are exactly the same. This means that if you lose an arm, you can get 'cored' (killed by loss of CT) from that side, but on the other hand your side torsos are nigh-invulnerable.
On the other hand, the barrel torso of the Tbolt is terrible for XL engines most of the time- you can do a certain amount of mitigation with torso twist to spread damage out, but overall it's just not such a good choice.

Quickdraw can pretty safely use XL
Thunderbolt however I would not advise it

Heavies really lack a good XL safe 'mech. The Phract has big torsos despite being the best, and the Jag has huge ones. It's a rough spot.
Capper's right, the Quickdraw is the closest we have. I suppose the Dragon, too, since it's got a huge honkin' CT.

I'd STRONGLY NOT RECOMMEND XL on a Jagermech. That is the worst 'mech possible to put XL on and it turns it into a huge glass cannon. You pretty much have to go STD on one if you don't want to be taken out in the first 30 seconds.
I'd also advise against it on most Victors. You could argue the case on a small handful but the majority are far, far better off with STD. Almost all the top builds are STD, with many running ENDO+FERRO.

Why, you want them to be all the same?

Yes, what a strange thing that would be... To be able to hit a side torso if you shoot at it, and not being told you hit the CT.
To answer your question, yes, I do not want it to be the case that side torsos on some Mechs are nearly impossible to hit and on other Mechs it is very easy.
