Yeah I'd heard some people complaining that it sucked. I saw it's hardpoints and lack of JJ and I didn't -love- it, but I knew it had potential. Already I've been pinned down once or twice by the SSRM 2 boats, so they definitely aren't useless. :)

ohh thats out done my best by about 150 damage and a couple of assists,

running 3 tonnes ammo and bap ?

only time I've done poorly in an oxy is when there were two ecm spiders working in tandem that knocked down my bap, I expect to get a kill and 400 damage plus with this best..every match

Well I started off quite poorly with mine and tinkered around quite a bit before I was happy. I haven't tried all SSRM Build yet but I'm more than happy with all SRM :)

Current Build (2xSRM6 1xSRM4, 600ammo, XL 250 - 127kmph)

600 SRM ammo works well for me as I'm very good at missing targets - especially spiders. Prefer going for the big guys and stripping their rear armour!

Next Build (2 SRM6 400ammo, 2xSSRM 100ammo, XL 250 - 127kmph) <- should help deal with other lights better and still pack a punch as well.

Nice game.

Until PGI fix SRM hit detection I am just not using SRM-heavy Mechs like the Oxide or the Kintaros.

I use Streaks when I have the hardpoints, but the way they fly to the outer extremities of the targeted Mechs now mean that they distribute damage too much instead of concentrating it.

Well, I still like the F more, but the oxy is now one of my favorite mechs. Once SRMs are fixed, I'll probably experiment with those a bit on this chassis.

Back in the day I LOVED the Commando 2d since it could carry the most streaks for a light. The Oxide might be something I pick up soon...fastest 3+ streakboat you can get!

It does lack for even the SL I run on my 2D and ECM, but four launchers and four tons of ammo... I had a ball mastering it and expect to keep using it because with consistently high damage and C-ECM from the mandatory BAP, it prints c-bills.

Nice, I ran the 2D with a TAG, single heatsinks, 3 streaks and XL200. It was a good time...I feel it's too ineffective now with the streak's randomizing pattern but it was my go-to even in 8-mans.

I just love to hear "SHS." I run basically the same but with a SL. ;)

I agree - the potential damage output of the 4-streak build makes this thing a true c-bill grinder. It's not great at killing things because of the damage spread, but if you're just looking for a way to grind, the Oxide says "here I am, ya greedy ba$tard!"

I've been having fun in mine. It did take a little getting used to...being in a Jenner with no JJs, but I play it like a Raven and seem to do ok. There have been a few bad rounds but many more good ones.

One bad one ... on Crimson Strait, come over the hill at Kappa going down the "saddle" to the other side and as I crest the hill, run smack into 6 enemy mechs! No time to turn around, especially with no JJ to assist in a fast turn, so I just tried to plow on through towards cover. Didn't make it  Sometimes, speed kills!!

Currently running with 4 SSRMs and BAP. I chain fire the streaks for the most part but also have a group set up to Alpha them. I find that many pilots get flustered quickly by the constant stream of Incoming Missile warnings and associate cockpit shake B)
