We have NO concrete information on ANYthing. That's one of the biggest problems. They treat it like if they keep secretive and hush hush on their "top secret" developments that it's somehow better than dispersing information to paying and potential customers.
Why would I spend money on something that I have no information on how it works, how it will be implemented, how the game will play, how CW will work, how it's going to be balanced, how the different game mdoes will work within CW, what modules and components like command console will work, wtf a horn is, what a "unique module is (is it functional, purely asthetic?), what the hardpoints on clan mechs are....

Kinda irrelevant since that game has no bearing on this. People can spend THEIR money anyway THEY see fit. Far be it from me to dictate to someone else how to spend their disposable income. The bigger question is.....

Sadly this is PGI's last ditch effort to raise the player numbers / revenue...
They are some far behind in their stated goals / targets that any hope of getting back the player base are nil...
With this in mind I will be holding off from purchasing any of these packages, until a substantive increase in the stated vs. completed items for this game...

I have a question that's tangentially related to the discussion:
Why do this on a Friday after everyone has been sent home? This is not the first time PGI has done something controversial and then left the entire community hanging for a weekend. One would think that by now there'd be an understanding that this is not good for the community. Speculation is going to run wild over the course of the weekend (with people progressively becoming more entrenched in their opinions), while hostility over PGI's silence continues to grow. So why do it like this, again?

Everyone, get your Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanies here!
Saatanan *****, can't people decide if they want the Clans or not. When they were delayed people were whining. Now that you can get (preorder) them, you whine.

As long as people are still willing to spend over 500 bucks on mechs, this game will still be ****.

I think it's a cool idea. If you have vague plans, put them in a pretty package and present it to the public. Maybe someone will come up with a great idea that you can then put in the package you are going to deliver.

Not at all.
People spending $500 on mechs puts money in the coffers and helps keep the game running.
The company not giving proper information releases, blowing past deadlines for 18 months, and basically disregarding all customer requests for clarifications results in less people willing to spend that $500. THAT'S what hurts the game
I'm honestly considering making an account on kickstarter and placing my goal at 50k or so to produce something. Then giving a very minimal product just to see if I can get that camaro I want.
