Transverse is not a WC game. It started with concepts from WC and was suppose to be a WC game, but they ended up changing their concepts and creating their own IP. Thus... Transverse no longer has anything to do with Wing Commander.
As far as your opinion on this game, I'll leave you to your own opinion.

P.S. We also got rid of it when Clans didn't come last year meaning the invasion is a year off already.
Right.
Let me ask you one question:
Do you want to replay the BT story or do you want to write your own?

Can i answer too?
I want to write my own story within the BT story.
The novels cover only a 0.0.1% of the stories of the 0.0.0.1% of the soldiers and warriors who fight for the Houses, planetary militias, pirate gangs, Clans, etc. I am writing the story of my character immersed within the history of Battletech.
In Community Warfare we will likely rewrite history, or at least play the invasion in a different way than lore, but everything that happens before still stands, though the same cannot be said of the future.

Honestly I think we will be treated to both. I feel CW will be set to the the lore story and we can re write it in chunks, then next wave happens and we get the map reset and try the story of the next block.

Thats all good and fine. And right as well. The problem with the 0.1% of the lore coverage are 100% crucial for everything that is not written down.
So you can rewrite it and by that write your own story. Or you stick with the lore and everything is set in stone.

In CW, i think that everything before the actual invasion is the canon BT timeline. After the invasion starts, we will change history. Well, it is a bit weird to explain, but yes, in a way we will rewrite what happens from the end of 3049.
However, i can and am writing a story of my character which will include events happened before the invasion , during the "canon" timeline. This means this part of my own history fits within the canon lore

And i would wish more people would be as flexible as you.
