Viable K2 Build With Ac5S And Ppc?

Now my question is, without taking into account the location of the mounted weapons, is a K2 build sporting 2 AC 5's and some kind of energy weapon, either an ER PPC or ER LL, a viable build? I don't really have access to my main computer for a while, so I can't directly test it out. It's a pretty heat efficient mech.
Say that the above is good enough for an average pubby. Now, I'm thinking about either putting all weapons on one side of the K2 so I can torso twist damage into an expendable side, or doing a ballistic right torso and energy left arm, vice versa, so I got both sides available for side peeking. Which is the better choice?

Take this and change it to suit your needs,It's a good base build to start.Assuming you are an average player and your ELO is fairly low,you should be able to enjoy playing in something other than a poptart PPC/AC HGN or VTR.

I'm not sure it's worth what you'd have to give up for it,after all the UAC5's can reach out to over a kilometer and still do damage. But,everyone has their own taste.
Or if you want ERPPC's you could try this

It's gonna run hot tho.

You could give this a shot. Armor in the ST's doesn't need to be maxed as the CT will take the brunt of most hits, and the legs are another place you can shave armor from. It runs a little slower than I like, and 120 shots of AC/5 seems a bit light. I've run a similar build and I can tell you - when someone gets a look at your loadout, they will bull rush you to get within 90 meters and make your PPC's worthless. Heat is manageable though. You could try ERPPC's, but your heat discipline will be sorely tested.
I would think your 200-300 points of damage per match to be ok, but you should look at your assists/kills more. The way I figure it, if you can average a kill a game then you are pulling your weight. If you die after that, then it is an even wash. Try to work with others while using this build, coordinate and focus your fire with your teammates and you'll probably find your points and KDR to go up. You are definitely not going to run lone wolf with this build. Although, getting where you can take out the lights that swarm you with a AC/5 is priceless. Great practice and a lot of fun once you get it figured out. Good luck!

EDIT:
Budget Build: This thing worked well before 12-on-12, these days the ammo count is a bit low.
Current Build: At first I ran this with a little less armor, 30 rounds less AC ammo, and an AMS. However, I found the cannons running dry too often.

2x PPC
XL255
12 DHS
70kph w/ tweak
room to swap 1 ton of ammo for another DHS if preferred.

I use this build, basically, but with one of those ERPPC's swapped out for a regular PPC. It's more heat efficient. You lose some effectiveness inside of 90m and beyond 540m, but it runs cooler, which is a good thing. It's really an effective build if you play it like a sniper. Do NOT let targets get close to you (though this is true with just about any Cat build).
Edit: I lied. My build utilizes an XL235 engine. If you buddy up with slow Assaults, the low speed isn't really a problem, plus you get a total of 19 DHS, which is very necessary.
