Tried it out about a month ago, but ran into the entire enemy team twice, but the third time was different. Chasing down lights then engaging the rest of the other team. They were damaged and I was mostly fresh.

Also currently regular SRMs are very iffy with their damage registration, you're best off going all streaks or all LRM. Also you should always have BAP when mounting streaks.
If you're running a medium mech with an XL engine it better be moving fast, you're going to want at least an XL300 or so on this mech, otherwise go STD engine.
Something similar to this may work well for you: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...e536b1ac2ad4cac

also, my mouse has 5 buttons, and i also use Q as a weapon button.
Basically,I plug people with the Ac5 and LL, and once i get into range, i can start volley-firing the SRMs and and streak, with the machineguns constantly rattling away.
People tend to get flustered.
The main principle here is you never have a weapon that has not cooled down.
Otherwise, i totally get the "go streaks and Bap or leave it all together" but 2 SRM4s with Arty tend to core people rather quick, coupled with the Machineguns and LL and AC5? forget about it.
Second Edit; i find that these days, quite alot of my mech are being built this way.
using even piddly seeming weapons on hardpoints that otherwise might go unused seems to work for me.
a good example is this fella; [smurfy]http://mwo.smurfy-ne...9c2f19582526fd7[/smurfy]
