Is There A Way To Get Proper Feedback?

Is there a way to actually tell how useful you've been as for me right not its a major issue and is stopping me from enjoying the game, I don't expect to carry the team by myself but it would be nice to have some feedback on what I did and how useful I've been, but the stats you get when you die seem to tell you almost nothing, nothing on kills, assist, % damage done to mechs, parts of enemy destroyed.

If you inflicted 200 damage, then yes, you did damage.
A good way to get Feedback on the damage you are inflicting is with targeting the enemy you are currently attacking by hitting R. (Not insinuating you are or are not, just saying for the heck of it.)
Assists are also a good way to tell. Since when you inflict damage to a target and someone kills that target, you get an Assist.
I see more value in players who help get assists over those who go only for kills. (They both are important though!)
And if your team wins, then you have completed your goal! You have supported your team into a win. You were a help and provided the power to win by your contribution!

Player Stats will give a little more in depth of how you did.
However this a relative report.
200 Damage isn't bad if you are new.
There are alot of factors to consider how you performed in a match. Mech size and loadout, map, your teams performance. Really way to many variables to go into depth on.
But your goal is ultimately to inflict as much turmoil to your enemy and staying alive as long as you can to do so. Pretty vague, I know.
Spectate others, specifically watch those that are running the same class and even mech you are. Try to pull the same as they. Remember though there is always someone better.
I'am one of those that likes to push and pick a fight. I don't always survive long or do a great deal of damage but often this can cripple the enemy's defensive or offensive line allowing my team to advance and mow them over. For me it ends bad but for the team it may meen a victory.
So your performance in stats and numbers is really a hard thing to gage a good or bad on.
Also there is always someone who dies first. I once got my head blown off in forest colony by 2 gauss from across the map 10 secs into the game. Even my foe addmitted it was a lucky shot and was amazed it happened at all.
That doesn't make me a bad player, just a guy who was in front of the lucky guy at the right or wrong time depending on who's perspective you see it from.
Another to consider- many will admitt that there are some days you are the ultimate warrior for many matches or even days. Than you start to get your share of humble pie and you coudn't fight your way out of a cardboard box with a knife. These slumps could last for days as well.
I'm currently in one now!
Be strong don't give up and you will get better.
Anothe piece of advice- stick with one mech for a bit. Your performance will improve drastically. If you jump from mech to mech you'll never really get the hang of the power of one mech.

Look at your "match score" and compare it to your teammates' and with the other people in the match... same with damage. And if you're new, definitely DO NOT quit out of matches after you die - find somebody to spectate and you'll probably learn a thing or two - definitely helped me immensely when I first started out.
Honestly, though, the best indicator is wins. If you're winning more than 50% of your matches, you're probably doing something right.

Fire on who your teammates are firing on, follow them, and work together- Assists pay well and will allow you to contribute to your team.

As well an AC 2 Blaster who keep an enemy in cover so his Team can advance is very effective.
I am sure you will get an feeling when you did good and when you coud improve.

Righto, you've been a member since August last year so surely you know about the lifetime stats and 2 layer screen at end of each match right? What other info are you looking for?
Personally, I'd like to know how the end match values are calculated (salvage etc) but that's another subject lol.

Join date isn't automatically the date he started playing you know.
@OP, dealing lots of damage isn't as important as many people think. If you potshot every enemy mech then you might rack up on assists but you did little to help kill any of them. Deal that same amount of damage to 4 mechs, and then you have helped your team win.
In other words, blowing leg armor off a mech that has its center torso wide open isn't very useful, even if you do 75 damage and take off the leg. Especially if he kills you and someone else before he's brought down.
That is why you see people preaching about hitting R to lock the target and get the info on his status. If you see he has no leg armor left, then shoot low. If he's torso's are weak, aim for the body.
Shoot at a mech someone else is shooting at, help kill it. Then move to the next. Randomly shooting every new mech that shows up is a great way to die.

If you fire and your reticule is not turning red then try aiming a few cm to the left or right of the enemy mech...

Quoting this so it's not missed. Once I learned this little fact my game improved by leaps and bounds.
Edit: Sometimes it will turn red when you hit terrain between yourself and your enemy, so it's not 100% perfect, but if you want to know if you're hitting it's the best way to tell.

- Damage caused: I shoot for 100 in lights, 200 in mediums, 300 for heavies and 400 for assaults
- Kills and assists: I generally consider 4-6 good, but circumstances can vary. A light mech on conquest that is focusing on caps may not do any damage but still be very instrumental in the win
- XP: about 300+ on a loss, 500+ on a win is "good" IMO.
- Match Score: this one is fuzzy. 40-50 seems to be in the "decent game" range, closer to 100 means you roxxored some boxxorz.

I think he's asking a valid question that has little to do with his stats and end match score results.
The only way I've ever gotten feedback is from one of three things:
1) I have an awesome team that talks to each other and says stuff like, "Thanks bro, you saved my butt from that spider" (when I've protected at atlas's rear for example). This is rare, and hard to get people to speak up.
2) I do really awesome and for whatever reason people notice and start saying things like, "Dude Futuza, you rockin those Jenners still?" or "Kill Futuza first, he's too dangerous." <--(Note: This is really rare and I don't feel like I deserve it, but it let's me know I must be doing something right when I do have an awesome streak.)
3) I clearly rocked the match and did lots of damage, got lots of kills, lots of assists, lots of spotting, and we won. I don't need someone to tell me I just carried the team in this case.
Not playing PUG matches probably makes feedback a whole of a heck a lot easier.

Here's a great example of how that can happen, and how being a team player benefited me. One of my highest scores when I was basic-ing my jenners was when I plopped a UAV module on my 7-K. We got Alpine peaks, the enemy took a very roundabout path to try and hit us from the side. I spotted them, they didn't see me. My lance's LRM boat teamed up with 3 other LRM boats (Catapult, Awesome, and 2 Stalkers). All 4 of them were within 800 meters of the enemy formation. So I ran into the midst of the enemy formation, they were bulked up together, and popped the UAV right before I got 2 AC 20s to the cockpit from a K-2.
I died, dealt 5 damage. But I got 12 assists. plus all of the spotting assists. The entire enemy team was killed by the time my UAV went out. If i had disconnected after I died, I would have gotten only the win C-Bills and XP.
P.S.: The penalty for disconnecting was implemented to stop suicide farmers, who just rush the enemy team, loaded with medium lasers, hit every enemy mech once or twice, then die, disconnect, and move on to the next mech. However, if you get kills and then die, you will receive the rewards for the kills when the match is over. Same with component destructions, and spotting assists, since those are instantly given. (they show up in the lower left side of your screen)
Rewards for damage, and assists cannot be received if you disconnect from the match before it's end.
