I've been playing since this game was announced, family and friend closed beta. And I have never mastered a mech. I never saw the usefulness of a extra module slot.

I can usually fill 3 module slots with ease. Seismic, despite being de-powered, is still one of my favorites on bigger mechs. And it's hard to go wrong with packing an Art Strike or UAV, though often a Cool Shot is really useful, too.

How can you play that long and not accidentally have unlocked one!? I'm assuming you have loads of EXP just waiting for you to press the unlock button!

Modules are OP. :lol:

that's it for me, trying to work on the Wolverine other than that haven't had any desire to master other mechs. if the Banshee and Firestarter show up those two will definitely be mechs I want to master!

All except the Oxide and the US football mech (I've calculated Hero mechs are now not just a waste of real money, but have nothing to do with heroes of Battletech Lore).

Will have all at Mastery + 85 000XP tomorrow or the day after.

Are we ready for Levels and Tiers yet?

My go to modules are Seismic and Target Info Gathering (substitute Target Decay if it's an LRM mech) for the first two slots, followed by either UAV or Capture Accelerator on Light mechs or Improved Gyros on larger mechs (it really does help against AC spam). There's also Advanced Zoom if you're playing on a mech with more sniper like weapons, such as PPC's or AC/2's.

So basically, as Escef said, it's super easy to fill up 3 module slots on a mech now due to Advanced Zoom working and Improved Gyros being added. They won't make or break your game obviously, but they help tremendously and are well worth mastering a mech that you pilot frequently in order to add them.

I have my JM6-S and JM6-DD both mastered through hard work. Not even contemplating doing the 6-A. What a drag....

Yeah, 3 is easy. I could happily fill 4-5 on most Mechs. I could fill 6-7 if such a Mech existed.

Seismic and Sensor Range are my two defaults. Add Target Info or Target Decay for the 3rd slot depending on whether or not it's a missile boat. Target Info is 4th slot on my DDC. UAV for my 3L.

If I had more slots I'd carry an Arty Strike or a UAV. Cap Accelerator is great for non-Skirmish matches. Gyro seems like it could be nice, too, but I have too many other priorities so I haven't bothered buying one yet. Same for Cool Shot - my Mechs are usually designed to run pretty cool already so it isn't needed, but I could see it being useful.

Yeah... unlocking that Master slot is totally worth it.

Currently working on: Shadowhawk(almost mastered), Locust(basiced x3), Orion(saving for more variants), Jenner(Sarah's Jenner taunts me, will finish them eventually).

Abandoned after one mech: Jager, Raven, Kintaro

I also have a huge amount of time in hunchies from closed beta, but no longer own any.

Updating: All except Oxide, GI and Ember (No more hero mechs for me, soulless creatures that bonus C-bills, not needed).

All the rest are at Mastery + 90 000 XP

Waiting for the pilot tree update, where I hope all mechs will be at Tier V.
