If C3 had that kind of power, it would become as "needed" as ECM was/is considered to be (and BAP to some extent). But I can see what you mean as well...

I wouldn't mind seeing a Mauler either, but I personally want a King Crab first. :) Didn't you know? I'm more important than you are. :excl:

There isn't a 95 ton mech in the game yet.  Without hunting down every scrap of rumor and hearsay, I'd say it's likely they'll fill in that last weight category.
The Banshee has been talked about somewhere on the MWO site before hasn't it?

Its' variants look sufficiently gutless that it would be a safe mech to add.

My moneys on the devastator ( they may have to create a few variants) as it was mentioned in one of those ISN news cast we used to get in the last UI home screen like the quickdraw and a few other suprise mechs.... still waiting for my hoplite though (another mentioned mech)

if Alex is working on the Mauler artwork now, i doubt that´s the one for march...

i would love the Zeus just for having it in the game... Annihilator is not gonna happen, at least i would count on that one sometime after the clans,,, and IF it´s the one for march, then good night sanity...

banshee for the 95 tons gap? kay with me...

It's never enough !! Even though it's a fine Davion mech, I hope it's not this either.

Pst... The King Crab could probably do that very same loadout...Actually, a lot of the heavier mechs might be able to pull loadouts like that. (Looks like the Banshee wouldn't be able to though.)


If one skimps on engine size, couldn't the Jaggermech do this right now too?

It's going to be: CGR-1A5, CGR-3K, CGR-1A1 with a hero mech of Charger Storrs

Not the most effective mechs in the world but we would reconfigure them anyways....

Filling out the tonnage blocks is about the least interesting way of choosing a mech for the game they could use. Seriously, who cares if there's a "missing" 95 ton mech. The whole point about the mechs is the role they play.

The Atlas doesn't play a 100 ton role, it play's a tank role. The Victor and Highlander don't play 80 and 90 ton roles, they play assault jump/strike roles.

I wouldn't mind a Banshee, but choosng it because it's 95 tons would be BORING. It would be used in the tank role. It's a light Atlas, and that's about it.

I would really hope for the King Crab. That way the IS would have an assault that can wield dual AC20 to compete with the Clan Assault that mounts Dual UAC20.

I'm more worried about 4xUAC/5 Maulers. 2xAC/20 sounds good on paper, but it will be a slow platform (no XL engine, not that you'd want one anyway). 4xUAC/5 doesn't need speed to kill you from range, and it should be able to carry 10 tons of ammo with 2 medium lasers for backup.

Hoping for a King Crab, hell, for that I'd propably even shell out for MCs ;)

But it's propably Banshee, as to 4 ballistic assault... uhhuh, game will be nothing but this assault then.

A stock Mauler would be a load of fun to play just as is ;) Seems like that's what we're getting. Might me enoguh to get me back into playing for a while.
