Congrats to the winners.

I would like to see a future tournament where you have to drop in a group (maybe make it a mandatory assault/hvy/med/light lance) and rewards teamwork (kill assists are just as important as the kill shot),

Is there a way to know how many contestants there were in each category?

...and definitely congrats to all the winners! :)

I took 27th place in a Kintaro and I started over a day late and stopped 3hrs early.
Less than 600 points from the winner. 1 point was enough to move a position sometimes.

Luck had a lot to do with it, but doesn't it always

Yeah, that would be an interesting stat. I have the impression the most sought after prizes were the Shadowhawk and Light categories...

My ranking in the categories where I dropped 1 time:

Lights: 2480 with 31 points
Heavy: 3332 with 61 points
Assault: 2183 with 284 points (must have dropped twice)
Blackjack: 790 with 50 points
Cicada: 1025 with 86 points
Hunchback: 1349 with 56 points
Trebuchet: 404 with 60 points

I'm too nice to go in and commit suicide to get a 10 point minimum and really get the count.

No, it's a minimum of 3,332. There has to be a ton of repeats from the same people playing in different categories. And even the 3,332 could be high if people are playing multiple accounts.

But still a good chunk of players any way you cut it.

i doubt there would be an enormous number of multiple catagory entries and it wouldn't surprise me if those repeat entrants were covered for by players appearing on the weekend who didn't opt in. there were some haters boycotting the tourney for reasons of how it's calculated etc etc. 10K players on the weekend is very much an possibility.
