No... it seems they HAVE VOIP... but they don't realize they gotta be USING VOIP for it to be worth while!

Then again, right now I suspect a LOT of non-english speakers playing so I guess I should calm down some.

Yup they have it, one got muted and reported for doing what alot of people said Voip would only get used for in PuG arena fights, I was leading a push in my Zeus because the 100 toners hid behind me, and I heard mumbled voice, and then the reported and mute comments so, I guess it not just because they're non english speakers ;)

Still new at this, but there's a lot of people who make the decision to stand in front of you when you're firing. I'm talking about me sitting there blasting a target for the last 10 seconds, and people decide "I'll just block your line of fire real quick".

They're not even trying to get to some where. They just stop in front of me. I'm guessing to get a piece of the action.

Yup its called KSing (sadly it happens a lot, in pick up groups, the Killdeath wieners need their Ego boost fix) they mask a badly damaged target relying on the people doing the work to hold fire, and not take the xp/credit hits on a Team kill , then whine about friendly fire when you shoot them in the ass.

My instinct to not shoot a friendly sadly takes over 99% of the time, but there are the odd days when I think F it, have an ac20 ***** Hmm seems you have to say colonic irrigation and not the E word thats a censored word..
who looks after the naughty word choices a quaker !

Match at the HPG, there is not a single ecm on our team. Everybody is standing around in the open. Apparently they have also unbound every key except weapon group 1 as they faceroll the keyboard while their dog/cat is playing with the mouse since I can see what's going to happen and repeatedly plead for them to go below but nobody moves an inch.

Our unit attempts to attack/defend a planet.
We never lose a game.
We lose the planet.

Rinse and repeat

This is (nearly) daily occurrence.

We do sometimes lose, but not today! Every time we won a game, the attackers gained another 6%.

We are the killbots. We even went 48-3 one game, but it's not enough!

lol...I had someone tell me to turn armlock off once...when i was in my summoner....with CERPPCs in the arms... thus removing the lower arm actuators... I guess that "vet" didn't realize it when he told this "noob" to turn off arm lock

*sigh*

well, you can always manually turn off armlock, thats what most people do because having it permanently disabled fks up your aim massively...

Really PGI?

CW on Sulphur... get killed... so out of the 3 potential drop points, it drops me all 3 times on the point where the enemy is camping, losing 2 more mechs within 1 step of exiting the drop ship....

Who programs this stuff??

So there's this scrimmage my group is doing right? I can't attend (literally can't, won't have access to my PC cause I'll be gone), so I don't attend practice. So my commander says that I should go to be a backup. Not tha bad right, just a misunderstanding that I cannot attend the scrimmage. And then he says that my reasoning is short sighted.

Really? Your people are often sectors away from where the real battle is taking place screwing around with useless matters while I'm fighting for my life against the main body of the enemy force and you make this really stupid point and I'm short-sighted? Give me a break. Get your unit together and apply some simple stuff that even I figured out and then come back to me. Seriously, the guy is like twice my age or more and he is either not conveying what he means or conveying a stupid/hypocritical point.

But, after venting and dropping w/ some of them (including the commander) I felt better. So, happy ending.

Haha, the number of times that map has made me wish I had a chat macro that gave the usual spiel I attempt to type out every time I see that happen.

"Dont stop in the entrances, move in and defend. Or back out and flank while making them come to us."...etc, etc, etc, etc... :P

Heh, speaking of, I totally ended up with this image in my mind tonight on a Conquest match, where this one guy dies early, and then starts just going off on VOIP about how he's sick of garbage teams, and we all suck, and we're a bunch of losers, and "Eff this game tonight", and "Eff the matchmaker" and so on and so forth, and then DC's.

Except that we ended up winning with 750 points AS WELL as being up 10-7 on kills when the ticker hit 750.

So yeah, "That'll do, PuG" indeed. ^_^

My problems begin and end with Skirmishers in Conquest not able to figure why they lost.

Go back to skirmish mode. You are not able to comprehend basic winning strategies like "cap to win" and "Cap first, fight second" or "Let them fight for a single point, we'll take the other four and win".

So please, Rambo... stay in Skirmish. You are violating the spirit and intent of conquest mode.

Skirmish. Caustic Valley. Direwolf starting border D5 rushes enemy spawn point. 4 people tell him to stop. He does not. Dies.

"OMFG. NOOBTEAM; GO HOME AND F* YOU'RE MOTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1"
Every mistake in punctuation and grammar is intended as this is a quote.
But do such players leave? No, they hang around the flame the flip out of everyone. It was fun... somehow.
