The change tested out well in Public test so will be in the next patch. We believe there are other bugs around SRMs we are currently looking into that were identified as part of the work to make hit effects server side, but the server side hit effects does help the perception of how consistent hit registration is so is a step in the right direction.

at least now we'll be able to see visually the hit registration issues, if we see a 90% volley of srms fly straight through a mech we'll understand why damage doesn't seem to be as expected ;)

Insofar as when you see your missiles strike a target they actually hit that target. It worked rather well in the 2 or 3 games I did in the public test and they definately "felt" better.

H Matt,

Some SRM Public Test footage for you to review from 250ms land.
Refer to 1min 55sec. 5xSRM6 into that Kintaro at 100M.. That looks like a pretty good Alpha strike... But my calculations the most I only got 20 damage of my 60 damage alpha... 1/3 Damage... Kinda sad but I guess in live I would probably do even less...
When fire in chain fire 1 SRM6 does 1-2% damage. Not sure if his AMS was a factor at that close range.

The gauss Jager that didn't move much Jager got Owned... That felt good. :D
