In fact, that is my point. If those complaining about Cap defended they would GET the fight they so desire. And to answer you, Yes I do go back and defend the base when The fast Mechs refuse to do so. A stock 300 engine in an Atlas is not the fastest response vehicle, and staying at base is suicide as everyone abandons base at launch.
