oh gawd, where is the Mad Dog???.... :'(

Ask the Smoke Jaguars (and maybe Ghost Bear since they love it more than the Smoke Jaguars)
Wait, why do you want the Mad Dog instead of the Timber Wolf? The Mad Dog was made as a slur to Clan Wolf. ;)

You don't have to tell me that. I went through all the mechs on Sarna, and Mad Dog remains to be my #1 Favorite design in all of battletech. ;)
It's one of the main reasons that makes me think about joining Ghost Bear sometimes, since they love the Mad Dog more than anyone else. :P

I think if they remove the eye and fill in the stars I'll be happy with it.

I think Black Lanner could look cool, just it suffers from poor artwork (that artwork D and the underside view of the original yuck. the other 2 are rather nice though). Black Lanner was one of the ones I had to think hard on though. :P

Everytime I hear Black Lanner I think of Black Python. Black Python is one of the most hilarious mech designs though. I hear people saying Clan mechs having Chicken legs, Black Python literally has chicken legs. ;) http://www.sarna.net...hon_%28Viper%29

I took out the eyeball with my 3 seconds in photobucket. I'm a hack don't expect me to try with anything.

Anyone else want anything done to it?

That was the first thing I noticed.

I like - though intellectually I prefer the dark eye, the gut says the red eye.....

And PGI's version is growing on me, making my opinion on that unreliable. :P

This right here I would be 100% happy with. Has enough respect for the original, yet still progressive.

I actually like the new clan symbols.

They are fearsome, like I imagine the Inner Sphere saw the clans.

There is a little bit of nostalgia in the old symbols though...

It was not meant to be fearsome. The Clan Wolf insignia was supposed to show the proud, majestic nature of the Strana Mechty wolf.

Kerensky said the Strana Mechty Wolf might have been the perfect predator, and that is why he chose it as the totem for the clan.

Sounds pretty cunning, and intimidating to me...

This seems perfectly represented by the classic logo..

Yeah but read the quote from Kerensky again. Where does he state it looks terrifying and fearsome? He put it off as a cunning with good instinct and stealth. When it attacked your final moments would be realizing how terrifyingly powerful it was.

Look at it this way, how often does a Wolf snarl at a person? Having been near packs of wolves many times while trapping and hunting from my experience they stare at you with a long pause before just moving on their way. Ignoring you. Only difference is if a pup is around.

When they stare at you, they do not come off as intimidating or ferocious, however I am unable to deny one fact. The logos mouth is open, not shut. You can't say it is hollowing, could it be barking? Sure, but growling or snarling would be just as easily possible in which I concede on it would be looking ferocious.
