Hatchetman.... we can dream right. If they introduce melee into the game at some point they should do it with the release of this mech.

yeah, and melee will be just like it is in human based shooters?
1 shot...1 kill?
As cool as melee would be in this game, I bet it would be derpy.....
what kind of damage did melee do in TT?

Titanfall has melee and it's only 1 shot 1 kill when a Titan punches a pilot or pilot vs pilot. Anyway i think hatchet damage is 1 point for every 5 tons the mech weighs.

If I'm not mistaken its something like the mechs weight divided by a value. Depended on if it was a punch, a kick or assisted by a weapon.
I wouldn't want to see one shot kill type melee but I would be ok with it being pretty devastating. I mean, first of all you'd have to get into range and chances are you'd get 1 or 2 swings before being taken apart.

Next point - melee: REALLY needs to make a comeback. Even as primarily a Light pilot, I still feel a little bad zipping around at 150kph (or faster), slam into a 100 ton mech, bounce off, and keep going with little effect.
And the Hatchetman was a monster: 10-points melee attack with the axe, an AC10, and two MLs. Along with jump jets and good movement, it was a great mech.
I don't see melee roll out in the near future, but I'd love to see it.

well, considering they haven't released any new mechs for two months already, I wouldn't say June is the only month...
It's starting to look like feast or famine for new mechs, since once the clan ones start coming out for cbills you could potentially have 3 a month for awhile.
