Nice shot. I just started on MWLL myself. The game actually "feels" like a mech simulator. Loving it. I'm actually surprised there are games going generally all times of the day, and the community seems pretty chill. Kudos for those who keep this game alive

Hey guys, I discovered LL through youtube a few days ago and I must say I am impressed. I've been looking for a game that continued on with the MW franchise. To me this feels like MW2's spiritual successor and this game delivers on that. MW:O to me feels more catered toward the COD generation than anything else, LL feels like a true, hardcore MW game! So for someone growing up on MW2, you'll feel right at home.

I heard the news from Wandering Samurai's website yesterday:

"Fellow Mechwarriors,

You thought MWLL was a forgotten casualty, but the Legends Live on!

Several community members have very much kept the fires going and have now revived our Total Conversion mod with their Community Edition (found here). Now with an all in one installer, it has never been easier to play. Simply download and play!

As for Wandering Samurai Studios, we are no longer pursuing future development on MWLL and thus passing the torch onto the Community Edition team and wish them all the best in their endeavors. We are confident that they will uphold the all rights that were granted in the development of MWLL as well as assume any and all responsibilities with regards to the legal obligations of this non-profit total conversion mod.

With great pride, we look forward to seeing where the Community Edition team will take this total conversion mod and what legends may emerge in the future.

Best of luck, Community Edition! May you become the next Living Legends!"

After seeing people like Kanajashi and Shivaxi play this game, I might give this game a try. Although it ain't gonna stop me from playing MWO (as I appreciate both) anytime soon. I do hope decals for IS and Clan make it in someday so I can run as a Blue House Steiner pilot or a Green Clan Jade Falcon warrior. But I understand the game's current form, hopefully the community will pick up after this game and make it better. I wish them the best of luck of making MWLL as more as an awesome game than it already is.

Map update.

Set in a wilderness forest/ coast setting Wildlands is a vast open battlefield with objectives scattered all across, all elements from tracked, infantry, mechs and aerospace can be deployed, various types of paths and dense foliage allow flanking forces to take and attack bases as the two sides duke it out.

Map of the month:

TC_ThunderRift

Set inside a massive cavern, the many tight spaces and paths are ideal for intense brawls, while middle bases can make good sniping spots for BA or tanks. With many rocks, stalagmites and stalactites obscuring view, the map is a perfect one to hide tanks and APCs (and therefore BA) for ambushes, and discourages LRM boating. Long tom artillery is difficult to use here, but can prove incredibly rewarding when used with C3.
