no, he piloted an Archer. Probably the Dragoon's own variant.
(That would actually make a decent hero mech, if it were not unseen, since it's one of the few "special" Mechs described in lore where the hardpoints differ fundamentally. Although it's actually not unique, Dragoon's have a few of them.)

4-7 variants of this in TT, I could see them dropping a few because honestly how many can you make with different hardpoint loadouts?. Should keep the one that has Ballistic in its loadout and one if not both of the variants with JJ.
Question is how many M/E hardpoints?

If they want a Hero version, they should look up Snowball from the module.

The Snowball was, while customized on a 5N, identical with the 7K. Which exactly your link says.

True so they can make Snowball TBT-7K the Hero Mech then do 3+ other variants. Having the only Ballistic known as the Hero Mech gives incentive to get it and it is the only Hero known unless they make one up.

Hmmm strange. Two days left and no information about the Trebuchet. The Spider, TDk or PB Announcements had started nearby a week before launch. Two days before launch you had screenshots and config infos in the Battlemech information tab on the site. So whats up with Treb? Has anyone infomations?

Open ended with the .... are you looking for discussion on how a medium mech with jump jets is going to change the battlefield? Because other than that it is no different than the cent or hunch. I see not discussion point here.
