So now that PGI is coming out with large groups next patch, are those two going to come back with hat in hand? Or will they just shift the goal posts in order to avoid having to admit being wrong?
admit to being wrong about what?
being wrong that PGI told us flat out that we would not be allowed to play in groups after "temporarily" removing them for nearly two years? No sir, not going to happen.
I wasn't wrong. That's what PGI stated. Period. There's nothing to be wrong about.
What goal posts should be moved? There's nothing else to say on that particular matter. If you're asking will I play again? Dunno at this point. Will I support the company and game monetarily? Not a chance at this point. I made that mistake when I heard the "We promise CW THIS time, buy the PP!".
Now if and when they implement a really awesome CW and I feel they've actually started adding content aside from monetized items and their development pace moves beyond "We had to stop everything else so we can get this next mech pack out", THEN we can talk abotu me spending money on this game again. A couple of hundred bucks on 3 game modes, 10 maps, and zero development in social and communication tools is more than enough in my book.
Just to prove you wrong yet again though (which makes me grin for some reason....)
I posted on Russ' twitter feed today thanking him for revisiting the groups. I also made a few suggestions on how he can improve handling things like that in the future that WON'T piss people off and on how he and the rest of the PGI crew can take ownership for THEIR shortcomings and antagonizing customers as a portion of what has helped create the rift within the community.
