I've always preferred light 'Mechs myself, so I'll be keeping my eyes peeled on the Firestarter/Wolfhound/Panther front, but what's going to be really interesting to see is the remaining assault choices.

There are just so many chassis out there still to go, and so many of them are what I would consider iconic pre-Clan 'Mechs: the Victor, the Zeus, the Banshee, the Devastator, and the Battlemaster (which of course is Unseen). Outside that, some other interesting choices in the Assault class include the Cyclops (unique command 'Mech), Imp and King Crab (unique profiles), Mauler and Annihilator (not quite iconic, but popular). It'll be interesting to see what they cram in for me to shoot at / run away from.

They can not crank these out fast enough. Even if there are only 10 or so Mechs ready at launch, it's nice to see what the line up will be.

It would be cool to see the Urbanmech or the Flea. But I don't think those would be released next.

My best guess is the Devastator.

Hmmmm... Their version of the spider isn't bad, I'll give it that. The Orion and Grasshopper, though, I feel FD could do a much better job with, so I think I'll wait for his versions of them.

As to whether we get them or not in the first place... I'm definitely for all of those mechs. (Hopefully with some time between the Orion and Grasshopper though, since they're both heavies.)

They seem to have a thing for 50 ton mechs, so safe money is on the Crab or Enforcer.

Im thinking they have a thing for the 50 ton mechs because the lighter ones are too niched.

Marauder.

Yes, I know it's an 'unseen', and yes, I know not everyone likes the Reseen version.

But hear me out. If FD can make the Cataphract awesome, or the Trebuchet awesome, who the hell says he can't make the Reseen version of the Marauder awesome?

Just imagine this:

But with FD's touch.

C'mon, you know you want it.

I'm going to guess Locust.

"The Locust was one of the most common BattleMechs in existence, having been produced since the design was introduced by Bergan Industries in 2499. The Locust was built exclusively for reconnaissance. The design used a 160-rated LTV Fusion Engine to attain speeds of up to 129.6 km/h. With such phenomenal speed the Locust was capable of outrunning most enemies. In a situation where it was unable to outrun its enemies, it did have a light array of weapons with which to defend itself.[4] As of 3050, it is estimated that over 2,000 Locusts were in service throughout the Inner Sphere. [5]"

It's one of the iconic BT mechs.
