Stormcrow (That Evil Bird)

This may seem a little strange but one of the first things I tried to do with the Stormcrow was make a Lurmisher. I had two LRM 20's on each arm with tons of ammo ,but when I shot them in the first match I noticed instead of hearing a big pfoof sound I heard a long string of pfoof pfoof pfoof pfoof which is great for cockpit shake but wasn't too great for doing damage. This was my attempt to get the tightest grouping of those stringy LRM's as possible without sacrificing too much of their damage potential. Have not tried it yet myself, but I intend to soonly.

^He's got 2 er small in the right arm, an er medium in left/right torso and head, and an LBXAC20 in the right arm with 3 tons of ammo and the rest heat sinks. Also, armor is frontloaded, only 15 on the back in each location. Very regularly get 5 kill matches with this guy, his name is Crazy Horse.

While his K/D isnt as high, he puts out a ton of damage regularly over 800. ErPPC in right torso, streak srm2 in right arm, streak 4 in left torso, and ultra ac/10 in left arm with a lot of ammo.

One of the most fun to run, he has 3 srm 6 in the torsos, an lbxac20 in the left arm, and er medium in head.

BECAUSE EVERYTHING ABOUT THE ENGINE IS FIXED!
EDIT: For comparison, you cannot remove ANY of the 5 engine mounted heat sinks in the Timber Wolf. The engine's construction is a fixed factor of the mech, and that includes built in heat sinks.

I have, however, been left with only 18% of my mech and an ERML in my head to keep fighting with.

My most successful so far is ERLL (Head) 4 ERMLL (Arms) and 2xSRM6 + SRM4 in the torso.
SCR-PRIME.
I have no problem doing 500 damage with this thing and have had a few over 1K, which has been very rare for me up until now. The large laser keeps boats and snipers off of hills and the med lasers will break open the armour by the time they get with srm range. Those high mounted SRM points are also effective in a lot of situations. It's great having the ERLL in the head toward the end of the match, you can really stay mean late in the game with this one.

I think there's a movement quirk on the C arm that it makes use of too.
SCR-PRIME
Not great at this game yet, but I was doing about 2-3x better then I had been doing in the stock damage wise.

I tend to find that CERMLs give enough punch and range, since they're like lightweight Inner Sphere LLs. Especially with the SCR's speed.
The ERLL tends to run too hot for me to get much use out of it.

Just tried this build and it's awesome. Performing far better than my 4ERML, 3ASRM6 build. Clan Large Lasers are just so good!

Excellent fire rate in chain-fire mode, or all at once without serious overheating. 8 tons of pure LRM goodness for extended fire support of your drop team.
Stay behind the lines and let it rain onto the front line.

If you put all of the missile tubes into your torsos, you can swap in the Prime RA and put 4 ERSLs in your arms instead of the 2 ERMLs. That'll give you a bit more short range punch.
