but I had 3 matches last night that were losses that were downright fun.
In all 3 the end score was 12-9 or 10.
In one we had a DC'd Timberwolf that I am sure would have made the difference.
In another we had a warhawk with 75 points of damage.
In one I only got 250 dmg.(450ish for the other two)
I was dropping with 3 really good pilots and playiing above my normal Elo (mid high end if I had to guess) against other premades (in one case it was 3 premades vs 3 premades).
And it was STILL amazing. The games were tense, exciting, smartly played and extremely well balanced. There was minimal trash talking, everyone was polite and good sportsmanship abounded. And in almost every case everyone stayed connected to the end.
Losing sucks. But losing a tight game with good teammates against quality opponents is not nearly as bad. Cudos to everyone I faced last night.

As long as it isn't a pubstomp I'm generally happy with the game. The best matches is when both teams are playing well, not feeding the other team and it comes down to the wire. I had a number of those matches yesterday, won about half, and enjoyed all of the matches.
It's the games where you have half your team feed the enemy a mech at a time that I hate.

Two times yesterday I've seen a conquest map where the enemy had 4 objectives and one last surviving light.
The first time a Spider was legged and killed just before slipping into a tunnel at ~720. The second time a Jenner was whacked at 740.

If I loose due to genuine opposing team tactics, then I'm usually pretty happy and content to be beaten. On the other hand, if I loose due to several idiots refusing to play nice, or cooperate, then I'm not a happy camper no more.

I'm almost always happy, win or lose. I long ago achieved a state of mind wherein I simply accept that some games, you get a teamfull of window lickers, and in others, they're on the other team. *shrugs* no sense in getting all enraged, window lickers will lick windows.

Good games are good games, win or lose!

Fun games are more important than winning.
Might change when CW comes out.
But right now, winning just means extra C-bills/XP...which I frankly am not that arsed about.

For some odd reason it seems to take my team a good 15-20s to focus fire and kill each enemy mech.
Yet when I'm on the losing end of a focused team I watch the score go from 0-2 to 0-7 in less than 10s, and wonder how it's even remotely possible for people to die THAT fast.
