I don't know, I actually like the breaks from work from time to time when we get tours of our customers here. I work in a department where I'm doing constant dev work on 500+ Unix/Linux Servers, and while I enjoy my job, and have a million things to do at any given time, I really appreciate it when I have a customer come into my office or my test bay and thank me for helping them, or doing an install.
I can't speak for PGI, but if someone was really busy and unwilling to take an interruption, they would make it clear to not be disturbed. I've worked in cube-space before, and it was always a jovial, lighthearted environment where we were all pretty much down to earth. So interruptions like that weren't of any real concern.
Anyway. I'll drop it for now.
