If it keeps going this way...cERLL beams are over 3 times the length of isPLs.
Though funny, the answer will be no, until the fix the ppfld issues.

When they do proper premade 12 v 12 or 10 v 12 w/ IS vs. Clan testing and not open queue there will be different results.
Can we trust them to be honest about that? I hope so.

When replies such as, "It was our plan at the time." have been used, I can say we cannot have much hope for honesty.

I've made the mistake previously of hopping on the "castrate Paul" bandwagon over these balance adjustments at face value without trying them first and I'm willing to give this a try before sharpening my knife.
The biggest contributor to this sort of shenanigans is this damn eternal search / demand for "balance"...
Balance is a lie... particularly when you have such a wide breadth of weapon mechanics.
This is a good point, but really, I don't think you can expect to make as large a weapon change as that applied to the ERLL without backlash. It wasn't a small change - it was enormous. The PPC issue just adjusted the projectile speed. The ERLL had it's duration, heat and ghost cheat changed drastically.
They asked for an entire feedback thread about the PPC+Gauss changes, and changed 1 variable for the weapons. Nary a peep was heard about ERLL, then WHAMMO.
I imagine that this may have been mitigated somewhat if they had communicated intent earlier. We all know what a volatile bunch of players frequent these forums - you have to be careful with loud noises and sudden movements

Dafuq Paul?!
Fire one CERLL.. get a little bit of heat.
Fire 2 CERLL, and I have just fired 2 ERPPCs.
Are you drunk?

Doesn't matter... They've tried it both ways and there is always an audience that feels disenfranchised.

Volatile? Have you ever read the TT forums?

What I don't understand is the heatscale change. Why is it only for the clan side? Is it to promote chain-firing for the clans? You won't be able to use more than 2 ER Larges without triggering ghost heat because of the long duration.
I'm not too surprised about the ER Large Laser nerf though. For their tonnage they kicked ass.

True, but if they had done it for the ERLL, i likely wouldn't have been numbered among the legion of angry posters.
Instead, this morning...
