Warhawk Prime

4 ER PPCs + Targ comp mk V

Warhawk A (My most effective build by far)

2 Gauss + 2 SSRM2

Warhawk B

2 LBX10 + 3 SRM6

I guess these aren't great meta builds, but they do rock the underhive. More importantly, they all look cool. The Warhawk looks fugly with most weapon combinations, due to the way PGI modelled the weapons on the arms. Most ballistics look like undersized plastic toy guns, when mounted on this thing. And those double-barrelled UACs just make throw up in my mouth.

I'm not dropping in a mech that doesn't look good, son.

For me personally, though I hate myself for admiting it, the WHKs are the best LRM boats the clans have(well the summoner has more missile slots but if one tries to mount as much as LRMs a WHK can it won't have defensive weapons).
Anything above or equal to LRM50 with ~1600LRM ammo, chaingired to sillyness would make the other team hate you soo, sooo much.
And this is a good thing

Some would say that this is a game of chance, it's not valuable "strategy" in the group Q and stuff - wheter they're right or not - you can always drop solo and grind the imbah CBills or do this just for the phract(or fun) of it.
I'm for one no LRM lova-boy - quite the oposite - but I admit it - WHKs are really, really good at this sheet(well.. as much as a clan LRM boat could be good at LRMing).

Yeah, it's a lot of dead weight. Why PGI has handicapped the Warhawk so hard, I don't know.

But I do know that I'm still bringing da ruckus, even with all that dead weight. It's actually very entertaining to brawl with other assault mechs with dual gauss, while peppering them with SRM2s or SSRM2s. The missiles don't do any damage, they're just there to raise your opponent's pulse a little. And in every brawl, there's usually a beautiful moment when your opponent realizes you're never going to overheat. You're just going to keep pumping those dual gauss rounds into his torso, like clockwork, untill it's over.

And in a sniping battle? Now that all PPCs have been nerfed? Forget about it.

It's the only mech I've ever done more than 1300 dmg with. Would have done more, if I could remove a few of those damned DHS. But 1300 is ok.
