Greetings MechWarriors!

Please leave us your feedback on Russ' latest Command Chair update!

Hello MechWarriors,

I would like to set the stage on what to expect for the month of August, especially with regards to the much anticipated feature of Community Warfare Module 1.

The first thing you will see in August is a commitment to getting back to weekend events, we are going to have multiple events in August and will try to make them increasingly faction oriented.

One of those events will be an IS vs Clan event that will help gather important balancing information. Stay tuned for news of our first event this very weekend.

Here is a timeline breakdown of August:

Aug 8th-12th: Faction-themed sale with an associated personal challenge event.

Aug 12th: Spider Hero – “Anansi” SDR-A for sale (MC); Summoner Mechs for sale (MC); Kit-Fox Mechs for sale (C-Bills); Rec Room Warhorn for sale (MC)

Aug 15th: Faction-themed sale and casual 12 vs 10 Clan balance test using the Private Match window and streamed over Twitch with rewards for participants. Please set aside time this weekend if you feel you have a strong opinion on the 12v10 balance question.

Aug 19th: Nova Camo Specs unlocked; Vindicator Hero for sale (MC): Hero mech version released Aug 19th with MC a week later and C-Bills the week after that as per the established pipeline.

Aug 19th-26th: Community Warfare Module 1 release. I have indicated a range here because were working hard to get this out as soon as possible. There still remains a reasonable possibility this will come out with the Aug 19th patch but let’s just say it’s going to be close and we want to make sure it functions properly. Therefore, if it’s not quite ready for the Aug 19th patch, one option might be to add a patch later that week like Friday the 22nd, But were confident that worst case scenario will see CW Module 1 released no later than Aug 26th.

Aug 22nd-24th: Faction-themed sale and associated event.

Aug 26th: Vindicator Mechs for sale (MC); Dire Wolf Mechs for Sale (MC); Nova Mechs for sale (C-Bills); Lunch Truck Warhorn for sale (MC)

Aug 29th-31st: Faction-themed sale and an associated event.

Some of you have been wondering exactly what is in CW Module 1, let me redirect you to Paul’s post here which remain accurate: http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__3481510

As an added bonus: Here are some links to sneak-peeks of CW module!

NOTE: All of these screens are still works-in-progress and the planetary data is based off of 3025 data. The 3025 data will be updated to 3049 prior to launching the feature.

It's nice to see a timeline for releases, sneak peeks at upcoming features, and a calendar of events. Thank you.

nice to see the vindicator is coming, 12v10 sounds exiting (been wanting that for awhile) and the map of the IS looks promising but...

3 hero mechs in a month?

OK, so the testing has shown that clans have an edge ... 10 vs 12 sounds fun and in lore if matchmaker is the way to balance so be it.

Glad to see a map of the IS and stuff all good if still feeling very slow.

Another medium mech ... would prefer more ways to make mediums more viable beyond a few chassis but I understand the pipeline to pump out new mechs as a part of the entire F2P sales process but still ...

I am not too interested in the other stuff.

Factions still mean nothing to most people because there is no IN GAME way of explaining any lore or reason to be a part of any side.

At least give new players and idea. Do you want to be a space samurai, space viking, space knight, space merc, or space test tube crybaby? ;)

I'm afraid I won't be enjoying any of this new content until we get word that jump jets are going to be fixed. Still not a single word about jump jets and their currently useless state. Even just a simple, "we like the way they are now and have no plans to change them" or "we realize they're useless and are looking for a solution" would be helpful. Even though I primarily pilot mechs that don't have jump jets, I do also own a number that do; mechs that are currently a waste of hangar space due to JJ's current state.

Though it is already announced and talked about a lot still hard to see the words...

" 2) Unit names must be unique and not one of the existing units in Battletech Lore."

Also of concern is the people who get first crack at names and lay claim to the tags to existing units (non Battletech Lore) like someone else goes out and grabs 228th or SJR before they can...

I'm trying real hard not to get my hopes up too much. There's so much here that I've been wanting for a long time and it looks like it's finally happening. Just... thank you.

I hope there is no Trolling and people taking other units names also just to be jerks ... or at least a way to resolve it quickly

They said the screenshots are using 3025 map data at the moment.

Because its a 3025 map, same reason Capellan Confederation is so big and no join between Lyrans and Davions.
