OK so question what is going to be the best clan for CW? Any advice?

Well, I've been told by players that Smoke Jaguar loses. I'm not sure what that means, but yeah, My team loses. Don't be on my team.

At this time there is zero reason to think that all clans will not have full access to all clan mechs. So there is no inherent advantage to any given clan mech-wise unlike the inner sphere factions where mech usage is in theory going to be restricted unless PGI gets QQ'd into changing that.

As for player skill I can tell you that the massive zerg in clan wolf will bring avg skill down but they will have whatever advantages being a zerg provide in CW. We don't know if there are any.

I can also say that CJF seems to on average play the game the most tryhard. Which I respect them for. Purely anecdotal but that's been my impression.

Population wise we can expect:
Wolf > CJF/CGB (this will be comparable) > CSJ

Everything else is just guesswork.

Eh, if you mean literal Clan Faction?

Clan Ghost Bear International (CGBI).

Comp team yes, but also plenty of room for non compies, cool guys, laid back unit, and lots of bacon.

Yes, (*SPOILER ALERT*) after the initial invasion, the IS finally gets there stuff together and launches a military campaign that wipes clan Smoke Jaguar off the face of the Galaxy. Wipes out their military, levels their homeworld... it gets UGLY for SJ.

You are much better off picking a clan faction based on:
-which IS factions you will be mainly fighting
-which clan(s) will be next to your invasion corridor
-if you want to be on the biggest team (wolf) or smallest team (jaguar) population wise
-what color you should paint your mech in that clan

Actually there is. In the Town Hall meeting last night, Russ was said that in CW, factions would be limited to the Mechs which are "appropriate" to that faction. I think he only specifically mentioned IS Houses, but there is no reason to think this wouldn't apply to Clans as well.

To each their own. I see it as a meritocracy with a warrior-centric, might makes right world view where the warriors are celebrated like the demigods they are.

Ya the main thing is what clan faction not what clan unit. Our unit is just trying to prepare for CW best we can. Would be nice to have a bit more information.

Well by that I mean best advantage in CW when it gets here. None of my unit really has a preference so might as well make choice on what works the best in CW.
