I was pushing to do this a while ago but the plan was to first make all our JJ changes. Well now we have and although it has helped reduce the power of the 1 JJ timber wolf and other 1 JJ mechs.

I still this is a valid point that I will need to bring up again.

the difrent from remove fix jump jet and make timber wolf got fixed jump is the playstyle.and i agree if PGI would kindly remove the fixed jump jet than change the timber had a fixed jump jet.and to be honest im sure not much timber put jump jet also.and that fixed jump jet in clan mech can be used to other thing in the mech also.

If I remember correctly....and I do, with the exception of certain Omnimech's like the Nova and Summoner, jump jets ARE a modular piece of equipment just as the clan weapon systems are. Case in point, in Sarna there is a listing for the Thor II omnimech produced in 3093. It states specifically that the PERMANENTLY installed jump jets for the Summoner were removed as a redesign of the entire chassis. Allowing it to carry more in the way of weaponry. This brings me to the MAJOR issue that I have with the current restrictions on Clan Mechs that have the OPTION to carry jump jets in certain Omnipods being FORCED to carry them. There are a number of custom variants in the Lore that indicate warriors designed or configured their loadouts based on their preferences or the orders given by superiors. Therefore we should NOT be forced to carry jets on certain omnipods just because we want certain hardpoints to utilize. That is absurd and totally contradictory to what having an omnimech means. It makes absolutely no sense that I can go in the mechlab and yank off jump jets from my Highlander that is supposedly technologically inferior which gives me the opportunity to save weight, carry other equipment or additional ammo, but an artificial restriction that does not exist in the lore prevents me from using my timber wolf, or kit fox to its fullest potential.

Also, as far as the mechanics, check Sarna please. Please take into account that EACH jump jet regardless of class gave a mech 30 meters worth of jump ability and that the weight of the jet was in proportion to the class of mech. lights and mediums had a jump jet weight of .5 tons, heavies had a weight of 1 ton and assaults had a weight of 2 tons. This was the same for both IS and Clan mechs. Let us ACTUALLY JUMP. 6 jump jets on my Mist Lynx means a total of 180 meters, 5 in my summoner means 150. The summoner can not do anywhere NEAR the jump ability that the Mist Lynx does, but it is carrying it's weight appropriate jump jet equipment. This makes no sense.

You be better off asking for a New Omni pods for the Legs and Torso without JJ to avoid other mech issues.

The Mist Lynx is the hardest hit by the Jumpjet locking.

Thor II was a standard mechs, NOT an Omni

Thor II is actually an Omni, as is the Loki II.

Russ the JJ changes are over and done any chance you can revisit this? Would definitely help the weaker clan chassis and help CW clan mech diversity.

The engine locking and the AP hurt it more than those. Those are kinda useful(but I'd only take 4 with a choice).

The engine costs it speed, TrueDubs and agility. It can fit a XL250 with 4 tons left, for SPLs or ERMLs, while still retaining 4 JJs.

A Myth Lynx with 4 SPLs moving 178Kph...that would just be glorious.

id agree but unfortunately IS QQ would be horrible if Clan got their Engines unlocked(even if it were +/- 50Rating),
and will continue to be horrible until IS Omnis with Locked IS-XL Engines, then they will scream its unfair, sigh,...
