Just running through various mech builds and I noticed that I cannot seem to find any means of saving or restoring (or naming) a specific mech build. Which frankly would be extremely useful considering how complicated it can be. Being able to call up a list of mech builds for a specific chassis and then having the system restore that specific build along with a list of missing components that were not found would make life a lot easier.

My apologies if this topic is a repeat.

This was something they mentioned early on, that I hoped would be in UI "2.0", but never happened :(

You're able to rename a `Mech, um cant remember where the option is. If I can remember when I get home I will take a few screenshots and post them.

As to saving configurations best off to use http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/ create an account there and then just rebuild your fav loads there and then use it as a quick reference when you wish to swap your loadout.

When you start customizing a mech you've got options like 'loadout" "camo paint" "weapons groups" one of them is "rename"

Sadly, the U.I. does not save previous builds, and right now it does not have the capacity to switch a mech between different builds.

Best you can do is use smurphy' smech lab (linked Dark DeLaurel's post above) and save your builds there. I take it a step further by saving every build as a bookmark (after you click the "Save & Share" button, the URL changes to the actual build's link. Drag that into your MW:O bookmark folder, and put it in the appropriate sub-folder.) I have a 2 main sub-folders, one IS and one clan, and each one has a sub-folder for each weight class, and then sub-folders in each of those for each chassis in that weight class.

Makes organizing easier, I can just go IS->Assault->BLR and find all my Battlemaster builds right there. My recent hard drive wipe cost me several hundred builds, and re-creating them would take FOREVER. However, if you have an account on Smurphy, you can just recall them from there, saving you hours and hours.
