say thank you to the people who demand that they not have to play certain modes,

they would rather longer wait times than play a mode they haven't min/maxed a mech for

Actually blame the 3 day event for most of it as people were only dropping in that days game mode. I have not had issues getting into games be it solo queue or group queue and I only play Assault.

You can also decrease your waiting time if you select all game modes and use a weight class which is not played by 40% or more.
Light mechs and medium mechs usually have lower waiting times.

Shh! everyone is giving away my secrets to 10 matches in an hour!

Just quit doing what everyone else does and stop taking Heavies and Assaults only into games. I know they are the easiest to live in and make you feel like you do the most DMG but everyone has that same idea and can often lead to very, very, very long wait times.

And mode...just leave them all checked most the time. But no one took into consideration this weekend that most were doing the challenges every day and if you tried to drop in Skirmish on the Assault day you would have waited for a long time.

Amusingly, I usually out damage all my teammates in a KitFox. It's all how you play.

Of course, it's easy to have 1000+ damage matches in a Dire and Timber. So people just keep playing them.

Again, if you're a Solo player and you've seen the Solo queue to to crap after they removed the "soft mode" thing, blame the Group players.

The VAST majority of the whiners were organized groups trying to play league stuff and got upset they ended up on Conquest when they wanted Skirmish.

Nevermind the fact that the Solo queue was, for once, free of having to carry new players. Nevermind that the Solo queue was actually enjoyable. Solo players are NOT the "target audience," the Group players are. Everything PGI does caters to their wants and desires.....and they completely ignore those of us left in the "Tutorial Queue." Because, that's what we are....we're the Tutorial to teach new players.

You do know that the soft mode selection had nearly zero impact on solo queue right? Solo queue is just as good as it was before and after the change, and as often as the group players were treated as unimportant by the devs I have very little sympathy for your imagined issue of not being the "target audience". I play both solo and group by the way. In fact I only played solo up until a couple months ago, and the solo queue has not been mistreated other than denying us the option to drop solo in the group queue to fill spots.

Well mentality of Bigger is better and you got your average in que setup 30-40% Assault, 30-40% Heavy, 10%-20% Light, 10%-20% Medium. That is the usual mix I see over the last few months across all 3 battle types.

Heavy and Assault overly bloated, so pick them and well getting into game goes much slower. You get to play what you want but the cost is waiting your turn in line.

Sure sometimes changes usually after a new mech is released that weight class then becomes most played. After each clan release their respective class has jumped greatly.

Don't blame the game blame the players

When do you play usually? I play in EDT zone in the evening hours. Wait time never longer than a minute or two. I have two game mode selected most of the times when I play heavy/assault. I select all 3 when I play medium. Maybe there just not enough players that match your elo for MM to work.

Oh forgot, I only play solo. So no idea on group queue wait time.

I should clarify that I am probably in the upper tier of Elo, and that I play 50% of the time with my brother in my group. We used to be able to launch immediately, regardless of game type or mech. Now we sit here for 2,3 sometimes 5 mins or more before launching, and we try to take the mechs that there are the least of.

Also, by the time we actually get into a game, half the time we are going against 12 man premades.......wtf is that crap?

Solo wait times are acceptable, but still a far cry from what they used to be.

And this Elo thing needs to go. I am constantly getting grouped with a bunch of noobs and getting **** stomped. No fun in pumping out 1k+ damage only to lose 12-2.

I guess all I'm saying is, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

This is all in reference to how things were before the clan mechs even came out, so I'm definitely going back a bit.

Most groups (but not all) end up filling all their assault and heavy slots and then throwing in the occasional light and medium. That means if your'e in a 2-man, you're likely to get matched up with 10-mans, who also have filled their light/heavy slots. That means the game is trying to match them with other lights and mediums. You're pretty much garanteed a 2-minute wait (or more) while the MM gives ups and starts breaking 3/3/3/3, and it has to do it on both sides. So if the other side that would be available is a 12-man (who can't break 3/3/3/3) it's going to try to give them a comperable match.
