UM was viable without 'quirks' in MW4. I wonder why that was, hmm.

I have a hard time believing a 30t light mech wiht a single AC10, moving at 50KPH, thats as big as a barn will do much. Sure, I saw the video of the Urbie Spiders, but still, mostly they were him taking finishing shots and stuff...

Sure the AC10 is dangerous, but ugh.......that mech jsut seems like its more of a detriment then any kind of asset.....

That would depend on how much PGI tried to make it viable...this isn't an impossible task. Difficult, perhaps, but not impossible (if they put their minds to it).

Without quirking it so much that its more a speedy fast light with the AC arm armor of a 60t mech?

For one thing, Urbies are shorter than Commandos. And their "girth" isn't' much different, when the Commandos arms are counted. Extremely short and compact frame.

Which is why people want the Urbie. It's so small that it could easily be mistaken for a trashcan if it sat on a street corner.

The urbie is, and always has been, horrible and you should all feel horrible for suggesting it.

The only way I would ever take an Urbanmech was if I could strap one to my DDC's back. Or better yet, have it jutting out from my hips.

Shorter? Huh... it's smaller than I thought. That thing could literally run between the legs of a Daishi. :P

If it uses JJs while between the Whale's legs, would the Whale be instantly CT-cored from the sheer pain of being hit in the crotch by a mighty Urbanmech?

Yeah, cuz PGI would make it that small to.......its bad enough lights are as small as they are.........35t light only comes up to an Atlas waist?

The Urbanmech doesn't need quirks.

The canon HS allocation rules are dumb because they penalize small and/or slow mechs that already have enough weaknesses as it is. If a Locust has drastically lower armor and firepower than a Jenner, does it really need to also be deprived of 9-12 critical slots on top of that? It seriously doesn't help the game.

You know Fup, if you really feel strongly about that, go talk to the Catalyst Game Labs crew about it if you haven't already. Might as well hit the issue at the source. And thank PGI for bringing it to your attention while you're at it.

Yeah, because that's just about how small the Urbanmech is. It was designed to be as cheap and small as possible, with armament and protection equal to a heavy-weight Medium chassis. It's something like 10m tall at best and can jump 60m. Also, density. You don't have to be large to be heavy.

Urbanmechs are literally trashcans with armor, xbawkshueg cannons, and small lasers. It pays for that by going 32.4kph maximum. It cannot function outside of cities, because it is without a doubt the worst field mech possible. But it is damn good in its namesake environment: Urban sprawls.
