I'd like to option of being able to drive my clan mechs which I have on my account with an alternate displayed pilot name.

Preferably, your first pilot name would be the one you created your account under and with which we communicate on forums.

So add in an option to add extra pilot name which I could the associate with clans, to drive my clan mechs. And another I can associate with mercs/lonewolfs. (Or whichever reason you want to have to drive with another alias)

And it propably there's some Clanner there who could drive IS mechs in some battles, if only s/he had IS pilot to drive it with.

Currently you are forced to create alt account, which means you will not be sharing any investments made. Or any loyalty bonuses etc.

You realize that you can drive both IS and Clan Mechs in the solo pugging queue once Community Warfare rolls out, yes? And that the CW seasons are projected to only be about three months long, after which you can change factions?

Overall, I agree that having an alternate pilot would be handy, but I don't expect it to happen since it is rather superfluous.

This is not about being ABLE to drive Clan and IS, yes, pug queue.
But as I might want to play with my Clan mechs in CW as a Clan pilot, without tarnishing my IS pilots name by playing on Clan side.

And if you look at my chosen name, I sure as hell ain't gonna be driving anywhere else than Rasalhague in CW with this... I'll use my salvageg clan mechs in pug queue, since that propably is where I will ever be able to use them

Some people actually like to play certain charaters on a certain side... me included, I am fairly certain there is a number of other people as well. As witnessed by the IS puritans in regards to packages etc.

IC your Clan/IS warrior wouldn't be jumping factions every season as they feel

Then again some play the game without any such attachment, which is fine. This is more for those who actually place importance with what representation they are playing the game with.

I would be cool if your account prompted you for a Clan alias when you bought a Clan Mech. Pointless, yes...but I hope we can still love PvP, competitive play, blah blah as well as consistency and lore at the same time. I know I do!
