King Crabs drop in December

But yeah, the medium queue is going to swell with Centurions, Shadowhawks, and Stormcrows, and the Assault queue is going to see some people who generally don't dip into it playing with their Atlas'. My guess, it'll be something like 5/35/30/30.

Get the 5M. Costs as much as any other Shadowhawk will if you give your other ones DHS and ES, and then has an XL275 on top of it - essentially, a free XL engine. It can also run the most common sniping/harassing builds, like 2x AC5/PPC and so on. After that, I think most people would say to take the 2K, being very unique, and after that, most would say either the 2D or 2D2. But yeah, the 5M will save you money if you ever use that XL275.

Sometimes I think some people who have mastered stuff in advance are massively unprepared vs those that have a pretty good idea on what to do.

I would agree with that if they used GXP, but if someone has ground out the mech xp, like I have, then I'm pretty sure they know what they're doing.

A rough estimate would be that you save 5mil for each stormcrow and 1-3 odd mil for each shadow hawk, depending on variant.
